  1. A question concerning the word count and handouts. If the scenario has handouts that are text (letters, telegrams, etc), should those be written out in the submission and do they count towards the word count guidelines?
  2. Name: Geoff Country: USA City: Kalamazoo area, Michigan Currently play via Google Hangouts, alternating between Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green scenarios. Looking to do some tabletop gaming when my schedule permits so.
  3. I plan on reaching out to a new shop tonight about running "The Derelict" for International Tabletop Day.
  4. 5.6.1 and up are fairly easy to convert forwards and backwards.
  5. There is a Quickstart Rules download at Chaosium's site. Has a short breakdown of the rules for 7th edition as well as a short scenario. It's free as well.
  6. The last time I ran MoN, my group wanted to bring rifles and pistols with them. I gave them the same instructions I described. They were on good terms with a Police Chief, who wrote them the letter. UK customs still denied them as when asked why they needed them, they responded "for self protection". The customs official then asked what activities that they had planned that required that sort of protection, to which they gave general visiting and such. The customs official denied them since he felt you shouldn't need guns for just visiting.
  7. I seem recall to recall reading that if a person had a letter of good reference from a law enforcement authority in the US, and the Constable (Chief Constable perhaps) in the UK found things acceptable, the person may be allowed to being a firearm into the country. The Constable could deny for most any reason they saw fit, so really there's a slim chance of legally bringing firearms into the UK.
  8. There is a Resurrection Spell, but it is more of an alchemical process than a spell, and certainly not what one would expect if used to D&D.
  9. Just started to read through it and noticed this. pg. 29 Appear Human Second paragraph, there should be a space between "appearance" and "and" in the first line.
  10. Acquired. Looking forward to reading it.
  11. This should be Chaosium's link. Nevermind, dead link
  12. I usually limit starting skills to 75%, except Own Language. As nclarke has said, firearms are not always effective against Mythos creatures. Maybe suggest to the player not to do so, or enforce a skill cap. I would not explain the firearms may not be useful, let that be determined through experience.
