  1. Your humble forum slave have just had some thoughts about how the appearance of the old site can be implemented with the new software. Last version I just removed the entire header and exchange it with a html coded one. With the new one, too much php-coded functionality is placed there, so I couldn't do that, which have somewhat delayed the work on the design. But now I have some ideas. I'll try to implement them this coming weekend. SGL.
  2. The forums themselves have no new features. Actually, until I've gotten the style back to normal, they only look more ugly. It's mainly the CMS that caused me to upgrade. SGL.
  3. I don't think that's an option, probably because of the increased server load it would result in. But you could just click the "stay logged in" box before logging in, if your browser saves cookies. SGL.
  4. Well, it wasn't completely essential, but I enjoy the potential of the CMS, being able to drop a couple of add-ons for functions that now are included and having software that's compatible with whatever new they put out. Still, an element of upgrading "for the fun of it" was probably present. Took some backups, but they got corrupted in the back and forth of the upgrade process. I'm not sure how it happened, but cetainly need to be more careful with that part next time. I think I got that one. Yes, this one broke down a bit. I wasn't able to set up a test-site, and in the end my impatience got the better of me. Yup, and while I probably could have waited until most of the bugs had been sorted out, I'm quite happy with the upgrade. SGL.
  5. That's not what I'm seeing. Might be a browser problem. What kind of browser do you use? Links will be back very soon (actually they're still there - http://basicroleplaying.com/links.htm, there just isn't a link leading there yet). Reviews will be back, within a couple of weeks hopefully. Wiki is gone, but the content will be added to the CMS, waiting for a wiki-widget for it to become a real wiki again. SGL.
  6. With time, the "Home" page will become the new startpage, with articles and news arranged in sections. Still needs a couple of weeks before that's ready though. Added jpg, png, gif, skp, ods & xls before I went to work. I'll add jpeg tomorrow. What kind of extension is ODF? Looking through the downloads and their files sounds like a good idea. I never managed to set up the test area. All the databases newer than the one I used are corrupted in some way. Yes, that's a software bug. I reported it in the vbulltin forum and have gotten a fix I will implement once I'm home. I'll look into it when I'm home. Have to download Chrome and check it out. Hmm... Maybe there's some moderator default rules in play. I'll get a fix on that tomorrow. Not me. Must be magic. And you're using the same browser? SGL.
  7. A day of recovering was followed by another day of partying with the dive crew. Last night on Ko Tao, danced to the early hours. Nearly missed the boat the day after, but reached the airport on Ko Samui in time and returned to Bangkok. I will definitely be going back to Ko Tao again later to do some more diving. Made many new friends and had an amazing time. SGL.
  8. Spent the weekend training muay thai and yoga, and then started straight on the Rescue Diver course the following Monday. Tokk 3 days, and was quite physically demanding. Poor divemaster trainee that was our "victim" must have swallowed half the water in the gulf of Thailand while we practiced the so-called "Rescue breaths" (which in my professional opinion is just a waste of time...). Had a lot of fun. Got bitten by a sharksucker fish and my buddy blew his eardrum, ending his course early. Then again, as after every certification, lots of celebration in the evening! SGL.
  9. Completed the AOWD course with a day of deep diving and underwater photography. Most of the pictures turned out bad (too little light and a camera that kept jamming), but some were okay. Then it was another night of partying, celebrating the completion of the course (didn't really need an exuse to party, but it's nice to have one). The following day was one for recovery and working on houserules. Then, another day of diving. Just a so-called "fun dive" this time, but with some complications. Ran out of air on the way up after a deep dive, after the divemaster misunderstood my signalling. Shared some air with my diving buddy, but then he too ran out of air. Luckily there was a drop tank there so it went okay, but still a bit uncomfortable. But got right back to it and dived some more later in the day. Signed up for the "rescue diver" course next week. Hope to get some more muay thai training done before that. SGL.
  10. If I remember correctly, I think the author is aiming to submit it in october. SGL.
  11. They used a lot of time to announce the winners the last time, so you'll probably have to live with some uncertainty for a time. What type of scenario have you submitted? SGL.
  12. Welcome to the BRP forums samwise7! SGL.
  13. First another layed back day where I mostly worked on ShareWorld, then the snorkling-trip day: Went around the island in a boat and snorkled at selected places. Rained a lot, and seemed like the boat was going to capsize on the way back. Crew put on safety vests and all... 8 Muay thai fights on the stadion in the evening, 4 ending in KOs. Brutal. Then I started on PADI's Advanced Open Diver course, with 2 dives during the day and one in the night (instructor had a double torch failure >:->). Saw lots of cool fish, jellyfish eating fish, hermit crabs, moray eels, barracudas and more. Amazing world underwater! SGL.
