  1. Thanks everyone. I grabbed the Witchcraft pdf and Sorandib. I've not gone into the Thennla material before so wasn't aware of the contents of Sorandib. Between the two i should have what I need.
  2. Is there any comprehensive alchemy rules for creating an alchemist type character in any D100 based games, any of Chaosium's products, MGP Legend line or Mythras or anything else?
  3. The SC link is dead in my copy of the NL and in at least one other persons copy. HC link is ok.
  4. Round here (UK South Coast) it's usually mud that get's people and animals. The Emergency services are always having to rescue someone or something that wandered onto coastal mud flats and got stuck waist-deep or more.
  5. It's now labelled Mythras. with some smallish changes
  6. Not as far as I know, mostly as Mongoose no longer has a licence to print anything related to Glorantha. You should be able to find either/both as second hand as that's where I got mine (at Continuum convention IIRC).
  7. There's two versions of Empire. One (I have a softbound copy for MRQi) and one for MRQII (I have the hardback version) they are IIRC slightly different in content.
  8. PDF's aren't transferrable. Your only hope is to pick up a copy on an auction site or from somewhere like Noble Knight Games which specialises in second hand printed material.
  9. Piracy is not allowed here. Do not ask for pirated material.
  10. The announcement suggests a BRP basis for the rules.
  11. Considering that the contract was signed in December and writing probably hasn't even started I'd suggest you are a bit premature. I'd expect the game in 2021 or 2022.
  12. Note that a sort of third party (Credit Manager) is holding those funds (he's also part of SF which seems to imply that there might have been some suggestions/complaints of co-mingling of funds from different KS projects as SF have struggled to both get stuff out on time (down to illness and poor project management) and ship printed versions. I got my Contemporary Magical Places last week after SF sent the files to DTRPG about 2 months back. New Tales is being offered through DTRPG but the notice says expect printed copies being dispatched late Feb/March by SF after they've sold enough through DTRPG to pay for printing and shipping to backers.
  13. I played a game of this at a Kraken convention either last year or the year before and it was a very good game with some innovative mechanics.
  14. Err Mike M is the Chaosium Line Editor for Call of Cthulhu and can be considered the official authority. Examples are only that and cannot be expected to cover every situation that might arise and the Keeper is the only arbiter that matters in his or her game.
  15. If you don't log in to Chaosium's site it thinks you are in the US and charges from there I guess. US International shipping is horrendous
  16. How about a ship name that we can track MOB. I'll let the forum know when I see it sailing up the Solent to dock at Southampton so they can prep their credit cards.
  17. CoC doesn't have the various Characteristic mods like BRP and is more cut down and streamlined. There's a bigger number of skills in BRP compared to Call. 7e Coc is changed to simplify the combat in line with the stress on investigation rather than combat.
  18. People playing BRP games mostly use v4. People playing Call use anything from 4 through 5.6 to 7. Although the base mechanisms are the same (using D100 dice) the actual rules are fairly different although mostly interchangeable. Probably the wrong question to ask as BRP and CoC offer different options for playing different genres. Call tends to only be used to run horror scenarios whereas BRP is used to run a huge variety of genres from Bronze Age via Dark Ages, Medieval, Renaissance and Modern to Far Future space games.
  19. The OP is probably not used to a stick shift so trains is probably safer.
  20. I read the OP and fell about laughing. He's trying to go everywhere by train, train I tell you, train. Has he not heard of the horrors of South Western Trains nor the eldritch terrors of Great Western. The man's mad if he thinks to plan any sort of travel using trains in this day and age. Back in the Twenties, Thirties or even as late as the Fifties Miss Marple could rely on the railways to get her to murders and mysteries any where in Southern England and late the previous century Holmes and Watson had reliable railway companies to take them the length and breadth of the country. In the 21st century the railway has become a battleground of labour vs. corporate money grubbing and that leaves the fare paying passenger squeezed in the middle, over-paying for fares for trains that often fail to run (Hello South Western, Virgin and others). Good luck with your planning, I expect you to be found crying on a branchline platform as the last train pulls in to the buffers and the guard (if indeed there is one) calling out " All change this service ends here"
  21. I picked the pdf up last year I think. It is available for purchase.
  22. 1800BC - early Hammurabi according to one of the authors.
  23. Get one of the reproduction Sears Roebuck catalogues off eBay or Amazon. They usually have just about anything you'd need.
  24. Mythras has all references to Glorantha and runes removed , a few typos cleared up and clarifications made plus a rewrite of the Animisim section to make it more understandable. There's also some extra Special Effects but that's about it. Some folks here have been playing games in Glorantha using Mythras/RQ6 without any issues for several years and will probably chip in with specific advice.
