... are there any?

I'd be keen to see a scenario book (much like the old 'Perils of the Young Kingdom') for the setting.

I've also started on a few adventure seeds myself, that I'll post here if there is any interest.

I believe there is a monograph of a mini setting / set of scenarios set in the Southern Reaches being worked on (possibly submitted?).

I've got a couple in varying states of completion, but dues to a terminal illness in the family and a horrendous period at work, progress is GLACIALLY slow (and I've no clear idea what I'd do with them anyway).

Cheers,

Nick

Good to hear, I'm looking at getting my eldest son to game with me (he's only 8 but pretty on to it) and think the Southern Reaches is definitely a setting he'll enjoy. As I said, I'm looking a writing up a couple of scenario ideas but family time and live always limits my efforts, hence my interest in seeing pre-written material!

Sorry to hear. But I know what that's like. Since taking a Interim role here at work (so much for 'only a month or two') my free time has been reduced to near zilch (not to mention a recent accident that saw me in hospital for a week :{).

On the way!

There's a monograph, "Horsechester" which should be out shortly. It might be at the printer right now, actually. It's got a small village to use as a home base, and then a few scenarios set in and around it.

Following that, there's another setting/scenario book in the works. This one's similar to Horsechester, but larger in scope. It details a centrally-located city in the Southern Reaches, and then has half a dozen or so scenarios set in and around the city. Most of the scenarios are drawn form some of the best monograph fantasy scenarios, retooled by their original authors to fit the Reaches. I've read most of the material, and really like this one.

After that, I'm talking with some folks about writing a book or two of SR-based scenarios, which could be used in your home-brew setting if you're so inclined.

I should also point out that as MW is drawn from Elric!, you should be able to run any of the old Elric!/SB5 scenarios with no conversion at all.

Sounds great! I look forward to what comes out.

Once they are available I'll make sure I post an update over on stormbringerrpg.com (maybe an interview with the author(s) etc., we have to keep the SB vibe alive you know, especially after the death of EOM over at Mongoose)

As for using existing Elric! material, I find that all the stuff I really like is a little dark for an 8 year old :P (Great for adult players however!)

Fantastic! I just ordered Magic World so I'll be looking for the Horsechester monograph when it is released.

Will Horsechester come out in PDF format as well? Do All Monographs get released in both formats?

Really want to see these towns and scenarios! I've been wanting to do some cartography and scenarios specific to MW Southern Reaches. Any additional lore is most welcome!
