Is Chaosium going to put these to paper or leave them as PDFs?

They'll most likely leave them as pdf. That's my guess at least.

I can't see a reason to reprint the old Superworld. If there is a new edition that harmonizes Superworld with the new BRP then we'll see it in print again.

Two or three issues:

1. Jason primarily based the Powers section on Superworld 1 (the one in the WoW box) though he was aware of SW2, so its considerably simplified;

2. Since he was setting it up to be a generally useful tool, he made certain decisions that aren't optimal for an actual superhero game;

3. There are some differences in basic assumptions (such as the Size table) that change the complexion of things a bit.

(There were also a couple of things Jason did that I honestly think were errors in design, but I've talked about that elsewhere and its not altogether relevant here, though it might be to someone trying to do a new version).
