I am converting my Terminator RPG to BRP
As soon as i have a good amount of it ready i will upload it for anyone who wants to use, or modify or tweak it. its not perfect but i think it will point people in the basic direction. It will be completely free.
I will also be making some free 25mm scale papper minis techcom solidiers, Terminator endos and HK Tanks, and Aerial HK's, HK Centurians. And possibly others.
I will be free the only thing i ask is you keep it
Tonight, travelling home from the city center, I had two encounters!
First, an aggressive narcotics dealer, who followed after me and whom I had to give a good push to get away from me.
2 minutes later, a gang of four who most likely wanted to rob me, who I luckily convinced to move along.
First time I have ever experienced something like this in Oslo. I think I deserve a tick in spot, streetwise and unarmed combat (for successfull posing!).
Tomorrow, some REAL gaming.
I'm looking at what I want to do RPG-wise and I know I haven't time to do anywhere near as much as I'd like.
Close to home, I have a RQ Campaign set in Third Age Pavis/Prax that is in danger of stalling unless I can find something to inspire me.
I am working on an article for the Birchbark Chronicles for Mythic Russia that I haven't looked at for a couple of months.
A long-term project is the mapping of Prax/The Holy Country/Dagori Inkarth for an extended game of
So, another Sunday, another full day for Roleplaying! Today I was gaming, RuneQuest/BRP in 2nd Age Glorantha. We have been playing the Blood of Orlanth campaign, and today the group was trying to stop a ceremony that would channel the energy of a storm into the world dragon project.
The two most memorable happenings of todays session was the following: Tarkan, a EWF desserter working undercover was standing judge over a man who refused to split the tongues of his children. Tarkans advisor
I hate it when I make a character that has useless skills. I’m not talking about skills that I failed to make relevant, but rather skills that had no chance of ever coming up in play –particularly when the skill is one that the GM doesn’t believe in. To combat this problem in my own games, I always supply the players with a skill list during character generation that includes “every skill I will call for, unless the action is driven by a player”. By this I mean that left to my own devices, th
I have so much I want to do with the basic roleplaying game that I have not the time to flush them all out!

Long time no blog!
My group currently have 3 settings running, with 3 different GMs. The first is 2nd Age Glorantha with BRP rules. I'm gaming this setting, and we are currently running the Blood of Orlanth campaign, which have proved to be quite fun. We are also still playing Cthulhu Rising (sci.fi cthulhu), where my android character was chasing aliens last session. Last, we have just startet up with the Masks of Nyarlathotep-campaign for classic cthulhu. Weekly gaming has been the norm
Dude, you wrote 1,000 words on normal dogs – are you some sort of dog-freak?
Not really, I don’t even own a dog. But I have been running a reasonable realist PA game since the dawn of time (think more like ‘Alas Babylon’ and less like ‘Mad Max’), and one thing that has come out of thinking about the setting is that dogs would regain their old place as mans best friend. In my game the world slowly fell into dysfunction over about 15 years (long back-story for this) and then the game is s
If anyone happens to read this, I thought I would use the blog-space to explain what I am doing in the download section. I have run a particular Post-Apocalyptic game reasonably regularly since about 1981. This is not to say I have run one continuous game, but rather I have run countless different campaigns with different mechanics and different groups of players but always keeping certain core elements of the world that I would adapt and (hopefully) improve over time. This has le
Yesterday I gamed a session of BRP/MRQ, that is, BRP with the MRQ skill list and some few other MRQ rules to make it compatible. Playtested the scenario that I submitted for the adventure contest, and we had quite a blast. I did however notice a lot of small errors in the text (the editing was a bit rushed, as I was going to Continuum). Emailed Dustin, and thankfully they'll let me send in an edited version of it. So today I'll be editing again!
Well today, after promoting our review section on the MRQ forum, I created a new character with a friend of mine for the Blood of Orlanth campaign that I will run soon. It will basically be BRP in Glorantha 2nd Age.
He rolled up a duck. A "mysterious stwanger" with a poor disguise skill. He is a Humakti-initiate, and actually have quite good stats (except SIZ...). Kai (my friend) named him "Duckwulf". He also put some skillpoints into the ride skill, and got himself an war-ass that he nam
Well, done some working on the site today. First I reorganized the download section - is it an improvement or not? I'm not sure, but I think so. Then I uploaded some new blog software to the forum, so every member can have their own blogs. Go bloggers! :thumb:
