  12. Salt Mine Blues v1

Okay since it takes a few days for DTRPG to approve a file (makes sense), I am uploading Salt Mine Blues here for the folks here to check out. For those who may not know, it is based on the OpenQuest2 SRD, but it has been altered quite a bit from that. Q21, the name of the system aspects, are crunchier than OQ. Just be warned. This module should be fun, a mix of role playing and combat. As changes are made to it, I will upload new versions here and at DTRPG.

  14. Character Sheet Wind on The Steppes

These are character sheets I made for the supplement Wind on the Steppes. There are 2 versions: one as A4 and one as US letter format. They are based on the character sheet as found in the BGB.
I left them in MS Word format to allow any change you'd like to do or to type the stats directly.

  15. Domicile To Domain

This is  a quick and dirty kingdom management guide. I used the Civilization computer game as inspiration for a lot of this.
It isn't as complex as some books I post but it fits the needs for my own campaign. Maybe you'll find a use as well.
This guide helps PCs to start their own kingdom and, without micro-managing, gives the basics to building, expanding, and running anything from a hamlet to an empire. There are references for terrain types, features of terrain types, and possible resources available.  Once a community is established, there are guides to building improvements ranging from Farms to Colosseum. From City Walls to Castles.
Manage the amount of Food, Commerce, and Production a community generates and grow to greatness or fall to ruin.
Included is a basic system for mass combat when/if you build armies. Starting with the Green inexperienced footmen, to Veteran Horsemen, to Elite Calvary. Special unit upgrades including Ballista Units, Catapult Crews, Battering Ram expendables.
This is in no way exhaustive so feel free to add/modify/delete whatever you like.

  16. URUK

This is a 100 pages amateur BRP-setting I wrote about ancient Mesopotamia (3rd Millenium). It used to be available for download on another BRP-webside, which has now been stopped, so I moved it here. It is far from being perfect, but you can find ideas, material and inspiration -or use it as it is if you like. It is unfortunately written in French.

Upon request, I can upload a printer-friendly version on a white background.

  17. adnd_2nd_to_brp.pdf

AD&D (2nd Edition) and Stormbringer (3rd Edition) were the first games I ever actively wrote campaigns for ran and as GM while at college. The crossover rules presented here attempt to bring some of these (quite fond) memories together. It's a bit like Chaosium's own Classic Fantasy monologue but not as good :-) .

  18. Professions

The professions section of the character creation document that I use for my fantasy game. I have borrowed ideas from others to use for my fantasy games so if you see something you recognize, it's because I liked what you did and wanted to use it for my game.

  20. Aerial Adventure Guide Conversions

So, one of my Player's Characters has a personal quest that will take them off the map. Then another player wanted to make a winged elf character (as well as try out the revised Deep Magic rules). I decided to enchant their patron's riverboat to fly, which inspired me to dig up the old Aerial Adventures Guide by Mike Mearles. I'm using the Winged Elves as the natives of Sellaine, wrote up their history as it relates to the rest of Rel'Pek. Knowing how the players love ship to ship combats, I made a rough, first draft conversion of the sky ships to the BRP Basic Gamemaster stats.

That's all this is: the Winged Elves (for my Rel'pek campaign, which can be found elsewhere on this 'site), and some charts and ideas for the ships found in the Aerial Adventure's guide ... the later version.

    Thank you,

    John P Meyers

  21. Wild Magic

'Bringing back an old favorite of mine. All I did was look up the on-line SRD from an older iteration of that-other-rpg, made some tweaks and adjusted the language to fit the BRP magic spells system. I then added a sentence to make it Enlightened Magic friendly.

Let me know your thoughts and observations.

    Thank you,

    John

  23. Enchantment Ritual

My campaign is run from mostly DnD 1E converted modules, so I've created a system that would account for the majority of the items found within those modules, but with a BRP twist and plenty of room for customization. Note that I use Magic World Sorcery rules alongside Classic Fantasy rules in my fantasy campaign that has a slight steampunk-ish twist.

This file replaces the Ritual (Enchantment) skill used in my own Rel'Pek campaign, which is an INT - based skill (bonus of half INT) and is one of those skills that has no base score.

As is usual, your feedback is welcome,

    John P Meyers

  24. The Mentalist

This is an attempt to combine a little of 1st and 2nd edition D&D Psionics and convert it to be compatible with BRP / Magic World.
The great article Deep Magic from Advanced Sorcery got me thinking about a new way to incorporate psychic powers into my campaign. The Mentalist is the result.
All of the descriptions within, while edited and converted, are from various other writers possessing more talent than I.
All of the images belong to artists of many sources, all FAR more artistic than myself, from other books and the internet. They are not free stock or open license.
