  1. I thought I would just pop in to say all this looks good and some of the ideas I wish I had thought of or expanded upon when writing Blood Tide. I wish I could be of more help, but my work at Cubicle 7 eats up a lot of my time (and I am contractually obligated to do all my game writing for them). Do keep going, there is nothing that makes a designer happier than seeing that people love their work so much they want to improve upon it.

  3. Bought the bundle of holding as I was looking for a game to run after I finish up my HeroQuest campaign. Looking forward to running OQ for my group as BRP and RuneQuest didn't strike me as being the fastest to play. Saw mention of an updated magic system which from a glance would be good. I like the use of Roman history as the jump off point for the setting. Everyone has some idea of the concept which they can bring to the table even though they're not playing Romans.

  4. PDF's received! Really liking what I am reading so far. The artwork in the Field guide is amazing. Well done!

  5. It may not matter that much, but if that was the case why make a point of coming onto a public forum and stating that you want to call it RQ4? I do think it is insulting to the creators of the last three editions - which were all legitimately licensed by Issaries while Moon Design were busy doing other things. It's also just confusing to the RQ fans, or those that like to follow the historical genealogy of the game. When Mongoose pointedly referred to their second bite at the game as "RQII", they were heavily criticised for it. Why should it be any different for nChaosium? I've no

  6. From an outsider's point of view, asserting that the new RuneQuest is RuneQuest4 as it is the fourth Chaosium RuneQuest is pretty insulting to those non-Chaosium versions of RuneQuest as it effectively writes them out of the history of RuneQuest. I think that this is a bad move. Referring to the new version of RuneQuest as just RuneQuest is fine, as long as there does not follow an even newer version of RuneQuest in a few years.

  7. Sorry to interject Jeff, but our version followed the Chaosium tradition and only said 'RuneQuest' on the front cover. The words '6th Edition' were placed at the bottom of the spine, unlike the Games Workshop versions which placed 'Third Edition' on the front cover, or even the AH box set which placed 'Delux Edition' on the front. I know everyone simply calls it RQ6 and understandably so, yet the cover title of our version was always RuneQuest, not RuneQuest 6.
