  2. Took me a while to find it so for people looking for it the web site is: http://www.frostbytebooks.com/m-space

  3. I heartily recommend Clarence Redd's excellent "M-Space" for consideration as a D100-based Traveller-like rpg. It is an update of his BRP-based "Space" (if I recall that title correctly), but now based on The Design Mechanism's "Mythras Imperative" subset of their "Mythras" rules (with which it is also compatible). His web site also hosts a short document about easily converting Traveller adventures to "M-Space". One does not need to buy either "Mythras Imperative" or "Mythras" for the game..

  4. Still doubling downn on RQ 4? The deliberate attempt to label this line in a way as hard to follow for newcomers is entering the realm of parody. I suggest the edition after 4 be called Runequest 33 1/3 just to keep the theme going.

  5. I don’t have any copyright on these images. They’re made with the Chaosium rune font. I think you should go ahead. Give credit to Chaosium, not to me.

  10. OK I think the file may have gotten messed up transferring from a DOC to IPT file. Here is a dropbox link that should work fine. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3utuirebgjpzewy/BRP_Fantasy_Treasure_Generator.ipt?dl=0

  11. @tooley1chris Thanks for the reply, and it's no big hurry. As I said I've mostly hacked the thing to bits at this point to make it fit my upcoming campaign, but after some more tinkering I did manage to get scrolls to populate, but it just doesn't seem to work with spellbooks. I'll take another stab at it this weekend.

  12. Great resource! Thanks for sharing. Now I want to play some MW!

  13. This is really good. In particular I like how all the Common Rune Magic spells are on the sheet, that is a very good idea. I also like that the Skill Cat Mods calulation is on the sheet as well. If this could be form-fillable, then you have my sword 😎

  14. Hi I'm doing a PBP game could I use this a jumping point ?

  15. Was looking for a better sheet this will work nicely thanks.

  16. It is great. The only quibble I have with it at present is that you have used the (and in my opinion the better) RQ3 concept of melee and missile hit location tables instead of the RQ2 style of just one table for all types of attacks. The characters in the QS adventure follow the RQ2 approach. However, I suspect I won't be the only person adding a house rule to use the RQ style dual hit location tables.

  17. Thanks for the kind words. I tried to get it in what I thought would be the most workable layout and the RQ3/BRP layout just works I think. I did want to get a few nods in to other versions of RQ too which I think I did.

  18. Wow, this character sheet is excellent, it looks quite professional. I really like how it feels like an extension of the RQ3 character sheet (which has much more flavour than the RQ2 character sheet IMO). I will be using this sheet if the official RQG sheets don't feel familiar enough. Thanks for post, greatly appreciated!

  19. Wow, how did I overlook this? Excellent production for a fan doc, and some really great stuff here. Enjoyed the Haggard The Duck examples ( you are showing your age in reference to a certain mid 1980s gonzo character here lol). In regards to the rules themselves, it looks like a really good take on porting the concept over into RQ. If it's not covered in the next edition of RQ, then this document will certainly fill the gap! Thanks for posting mate, its greatly appreciated

  20. Great, I love the idea of Heroquesting with RQ rules. Runes spells for Heroquest, Feats and Runes with Heropoints. a Lot of good things

  22. Greetings @DarcyDettmann and I'm glad you like the file! Each section talks about what is rolled to activate powers - Here is a redux for you. Wizardry: Spell College (Alteration, Augmentation, Forces, Illusion, and Mysticism) skills are used. They begin at INTx1%. Sorcery: Sorcery skill begins at POWx1% Divine Magic: Faithcasting skill begins at POWx1%. Psionics: Psionics (Bio-Feedback, Metacognition, and Psychokinesis) skills begin at POWx1%. Super Powers: Generally none, but attribute or skill may be required in certain instances, especially opposed tests. If the "Activation" Budget Modifier is chosen for powers, you may use a Characteristic roll, or develop a "power" skill with a granularity that you feel appropriate. Hopefully I answered your question - if not let me know. If you use fixed percentiles for your game, I recommend anywhere between 01% and 10% as the base rating. Modify for your gaming pleasure

  23. I only have one question: What is the Percentile Roll for Activation? Btw, awesome work.

  24. Ok i just did some corrections, and added some very basic Devilstick hover cycle stats for gypsies, also added the gypsie vow that i forgot to add! It is not much I don't know when i will get more done, as i lost some of my file notes! Also i lost my book pdf , and my backup has failed. I think i need to find some physical book copies.

  26. Great start. Thanks for the upload. For what its worth, I much prefer the book as it spans the world and the gun is way better. But that's just me, and its awesome that your going to cater to all tastes. Rod PS - I'm pretty sure the gun of the books is the inspiration for Judge Dredd's Lawgiver.

  27. I forgot to mention this is in .odt format so you will need microsoft word or office, or similar. If you don't have those i suggest OpenOffice its free!

  28. Nice work Sayerson! Creating an optimal character sheet for the edition is one of our most important challenges, from a game design perspective. As discussed in one of Jeff's earlier RQ design notes: RPG Design Rule b: "If, in a scenario crisis, a player can't find problem-solving tools on their character sheet, they won't look elsewhere for them." [ie, When players are flummoxed, they look to their character sheets for inspiration. And they won't be inspired to use any tool they don't find there.]

  29. Yes I agree. It's either RQ7 or CRQ4. Either works well, but just RQ4 is wrong on many levels...

  30. Thanks Clarence but if you downloaded the 1.9 version you might want to delete it and download the latest 2.0 version instead. Somehow I deleted about a paragraph of important text from the 1.9 version. Best regards!

  33. Such a great 'zine! I had no idea this existed. Let me know if you want contributions. I do not get enough of a chance to write BRP stuff, due to being swamped with Call of Cthulhu (Achtung! Cthulhu, World War Cthulhu) and Conan stuff these days.
