  1. or of Northern Dragon Pass?
  2. That was RQ3 material though. The OP was wondering about RQ2 material.
  3. Do Dwarfside and Dwarftown refer to the same area? Or is the former aboveground and the latter underground?
  4. He also used to be a player in our group 🙂 He's had the bad idea of moving to your area; I'm not sure he's still playing RQ these days.
  5. or in the same way that humans view broo: fellow mammals-- but Chaos-tainted!
  6. Yes IMG there is a clear connection between insects (& spiders) and the Darkness rune. Timinits and Scorpionmen are an exception though.
  7. Yes... Even better, have a Lanbril rune and get the bonus whenever you roll under the rune per the RAW.
  8. Yes but I don't picture the hungry ghosts as being hopping vampires either.
  9. We could walk the Revolution D100 path and have Foil, Shadowing, etc. be +30% bonuses to the relevant RQ:G skills when they are used in this particular way.
  10. I'm not a big fan of having jiāngshī (a Qīng-era monster) in a Bronze Age setting...
  11. It was a long "what are we up to?" post by Jason Durall.
  12. It depends on how you run your Kralorelan game... Obviously if you're in a central province it will all be Kralori-centred, but the closer you get to the margin*, the more important these barbarian intrusions will become. It feels very authentic to me. My main beef is not about Kralorela per se, but about her depiction as fantasy Míng/Qīng China, which completely clashes with the Bronze Age feel of the rest of the Lozenge. *a very Chinese concept BTW in terms of adventuring
  13. Kralorela definitely 'needs work'. We have played a lot in and around Tzu Ling, which is a Kralori city with an Ignorant past, which gives room for suppressed Ignorant cults and stuff like that.
  14. This is why I ran my Umathelan game in the Second Age.
  15. on page 24, boxed text at the bottom of the 1st column: When the fighting breaks out at either location, refer to WHITEYE'S TACTICS, pXX-XX.
  16. OK, here are my Darktongue syllables: https://2ndage.blogspot.com/2018/12/darktongue-101.html Enjoy, and do not hesitate to comment.

Do Gloranthan women have menstruation? If yes, what is the mythical explanation?
  18. I have put together a roster of possible Darktongue syllables based on the proper nouns from the published material (mostly Trollpak and the Guide). I can publish it on my blog should anybody be interested. Do not forget that, as with any other linguistic material from Gloranthan canon, this is all as "heard by Greg during his explorations of Glorantha and approximated to an American English ear". It's not the real McCoy.
  19. No trolls in Ignorance-- it's a mixed human-trollkin population, see pages 287 & 289 of the Guide.
  20. Weird.... When I try that the option to change the page display to Single Page is greyed out 😞
  21. Has anybody managed to print out the damned thing? Because of its weird structure (two physical pages per single PDF page) I can't print it out satisfactorily.
  22. Why's that? It took the Manchus 65 years to conquer China.
