My only qualm is that the price is a bit steep (at $10 for 35 pages of digital content), but as silly elf game supplements go this is nicely done.

Indeed steep HOWEVER... text is mostly clean of typos, story is well written, interesting and flexible. You can tell the work of the book was a labor of love and attention.

I say the price is well worth every penny paid for what you receive.

Well, most of those options wouldn't really be good at the "amphibious" part of that idea; manatees have no legs, crocodiles are belly-draggers who only really move well in short bursts on land (and are also carnivores, who are more costly to feed), etc. River horses would probably work perfectly, but might be something you need a successful Heroquest to obtain.

for amphibious mode on chariots... maybe using otters, beavers or even platypuses are about the correct size for the job. The issue will be the tails and the transition between water to land (though... small draining holes in the bottom of something looking like a bathtub and a tricycle configuration of the wheels may be a possible solution to the problem.)

EDIT: The entire basket for the chariot can be made from reeds and duck friendly materials... axles and other metallic parts could be made in Aluminum aiding to reach neutral flotation including the reinforcement of the wheels and harnesses. Definitely not something a duck from the poorer side of Clearwine can buy.

I have some players that wanted to roll up some Noble Durulz. The equipment list has two riding animals but, the Bestiary has Ducks with 00 as their Ride skill. Are Ducks incapable of riding animals, or is it just uncommon for them? Can they ride giant frogs like the newtlings in Prax? (I seem to remember newtlings in traskers somewhere.)

The other skill that shows up is Drive chariot, which i think would also be rad for ducks. Maybe some sorta lizard drawn chariot or something?

Imagine the Durulz cavalry using Alinxes... What a unstoppable force. (plus there are several instances of cats used in chariots AND Alinxes are short tailed)

While we want to get RuneQuest resources on VTT platforms like Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds we have a very limited in-house capacity to convert/program them, and the FG and R20 developers are very very busy, so we only get a small portion of their time. Getting RQ product to those platforms is not from lack of desire. It's a bandwidth issue.

What about increasing the bandwidth by calling the community to contribute in some sort of hybrid of "kickstarter" + Jonstown Compendium where we get something that the community direly need. I cannot imagine reassigning a lot of the resources, the lessons learned and work already done for Cthulhu may be so difficult to move forward.

IF the desire is there... is a matter of finding the way RIGHT ?

  5. It is too late for me since our GM just killed the campaign we are playing out of frustration with Roll20. Between the lag... the problems with the character sheets and the impossible to manage "mystery" added/removed penalties for throws... nightmare in few words.

I suspect my GM will not continue playing until Chaosium makes an "official" product (that we gladly paid for use) that works and is usable without the problems we currently have...

I pray you are all able to go to sleep safely tonight, I have cried a lot in 2020 and I hope I will not be crying again this year.

    Peace friends.

There is only way to answer this.

    THANKS...

    Let's hope tomorrow is a better/brighter day.

I understand The Barbarian.  And I'm British.  Which also means that I'm uncomfortable showing any overt signs of friendship (beyond shaking hands which isn't legal anymore), so I have to pretend that I missed the second half of the quote.

depending on where you are in Britain... you may have a dialect closer to the language of the barbarian... hence the "I understand" part.

@Bill the barbarian voice in podcast; because I understand 0% but I love him

    Agreed 100%

    also:

The master teaser: @Jeff for his superlative work teasing everyone with maps in Facebook...

For me the other supplements/adventures and general items that made 2020 more bearable are:

    Merry Green Valley.
    Valley of Plenty.
    Six Seasons in Sartar.

And the superb works of Martin Helsdon.

I have a feeling the players in our game will want to 'utilise' the body somehow

The interesting part would be the players hunted down by a group of enraged Mostali hell bent to recover the body and clean the affront to that Mostali Clan/family.

yet the map in RQ:RiG (page 105) shows it clearly closest to Runegate, with a mountain range between it and Jonstown. (And the AAA doesn't show Apple Lane at all)...

But I've been unable to locate "Sword Vale" in these references. Hence my request for more detailed directions

Based on the map of "The Lands of Dragon Pass" (2003) the distance between Apple Lane and Swan is about 4 miles.

Jeff Richards posted in Facebook a Southern and Northern Sartar map that I composed to the detail below for your reference. I think the distance of 32km from Apple Lane and Jonstown is about right...
    YET...
Runegate and Clearwine are closer and may be easier places to find a blacksmith.

I have also to say that I haven't seen anywhere the "Sword Vale" in any of my references or maps.

Hope this morsel of the new map of Sartar helps. (by the way... I hope the Sartar book and map is released really soon...)

     Kumis

All alcoholic fermented milk drinks of Prax are called Kumis.  The technique for making these drinks are no mystery, but the most common is made with horse milk, even though the Kumis made with Zebra milk is even more potent.  It has been said that Rhino Kumis made from milk taken in the first days after the birth is the very strongest kumis made in Prax, while others say that Unicorn milk is even more potent as Kumis, even though Unicorn riders don’t make Kumis (allegedly unicorn kumis has been made from the milk of captured unicorns by other tribes, as the unicorn riders will seldom put their precious and intelligent unicorn friends through such an indignity).  Thus the conjecture and wild stories persist.  Some even say that the strongest Kumis comes from the unknown mount of Jaldon Toothmaker. The lesson here  is that drunk people love to speculate about things they will likely never experience.

the absolute strongest Kumis that can be found in Glorantha comes from the Lord Ethilrist Black Horses. IF you dare to milk them and survive you will get a rich and potent alcoholic milk with no need of fermentation.

    Sodium

    (ta-metal, tan-metal)

Sodium is an exceptionally rare metal, generally agreed to be made from the bones of gods of Sky Water or Firey Water, which are most notably Tanian and his few descendants. As such, godbone sodium has never been recorded. It is generally agreed that it is also possible, like how bronze can be created by combining tin and copper, to create sodium via combining aluminum or quicksilver with gold. The precise process remains unknown to the world at large.

Some Mostali thinks this is not a sodium metal... but something else called Potassium metal... an even rarer mix of glacier solid water and earth fire.
