  1. I really liked Ars Magica but I haven't played for... 20 years now? I'll take a look at Deep Magic, thanks. So Tapiz was meant to be a multi-setting system (focused on Fantasy) so that you could pick your building blocks and have your own sort of homebrew game in no time. An intuitive "DIY" RPG system with two or three ready-to-play instances and fueled by the community. That's why I like OQ, it would be easy to use it as the foundation for such project. So, Tapiz would be a framework and every Lienzo (Spanish for Canvas) would be a specific instance using the core and an assortment of optional blocks. It's still very much in its inception stage. So setting-wise, there no such thing as a Tapiz setting. There would be a sandbox Canvas with a sketchy classical fantasy region to explore but I'd love to a) create a 3rd Age Middle-earth Canvas and b) create my own world and explore it with my friends. I have experience in the publishing RPG world [1], plus 30 years of role-playing so I should be able to put something nice together, but it's just a side project, really. My priority is to DM or play at the moment 🙂 I've updated the character sheet, BTW. Two sides now. [1] TAPIZ_OQ_charsheet.pdf
  2. Thanks @Sir Pom-Pom and @rsanford! @rsanford I think landscape has some advantages when there are several lists of stuff (skills, etc) but the key ingredient is balance and avoid clutter. I'm glad you like it. I'm planning to release Tapiz 1.0 by the end of the year. I'll probably comment on its progress. It will have 100% original art (you can see some samples here https://github.com/diacritica/tapiz-web/tree/master/content/tapiz/images) and meant to be modular by design so you can easily play it on Middle-earth or you High Fantasy sandbox. Congrats on The Second Way, it looks very interesting!!
  3. Hello Everyone! I have been working on a homebrew RPG for some years but after much thought I decided the best I could do is use OQ3 or use its future SRD to flesh out my own thing. I missed the KS but I knew there would be some pre-order scheme and here we are now! I just can't wait... so in the meantime, I wanted to design a custom character sheet for OQ3 (a bit speculative for now but probably OK). I am sharing it with the forum and also asking for your custom designs and your personal choices. In this particular case, all magic/religion is put aside (a B-side not shown). No Wealth, No major-wound (still thinking of this), changing "race" for a more generic "origin", "movement rate" for "speed" and moving things around a bit plus a different coin system. Also, no characteristics hints like INT+POW, etc. Here's an example: I'd love to see what other custom OQ2/OQ3 character sheets look like, including from games like AoS. Tapiz is Spanish for Tapestry and it's the name of my homebrew RPG, for anyone wondering. I used Penpot, an open source design & prototyping tool I'm developing, so it was a nice weird use case for the tool 😆 I'm really excited about OQ3!!
