  1. First attempt at having the route order in trade routes. This is only noting the bigger stops - there might be others. Genertelan caravan routes missing. Did some of the below already have names somewhere I did not notice. 2. Regarding the import export table on the same chapter in GtG - where would these regions export these products to. The rest of the goods I can extrapolate. Timber and Salt possibly only nearby regions? Tea, glass, glassware and parchment to "civilised" regions? ---
  3. Seshnela: Probably Noloswal (as that is the city)
  4. HI Has somebody gathered these already. Great trade centres are named but for some of the others Major / Regional ones I have trouble of selecting the correct ones.
  5. it is marvel of a book. so many campaign ideas can be drawn from it, so much background. I have just used GtG, Prosopaedia and Revealed Mythologies with some other stuff to flesh out the continent part of my campaign now that we have moved from Loral to Kanem Dar in Afadjann... Obsidian is a wonderful tool for campaign management
  6. i was hoping that somebidy had dine this already. will need to start - step by step
  7. will probably do. will take some time...
  8. I may have to but I was wondering if someone has done the work already. or even hex location table of named places in GtG
  9. Starting to look at traveling cross longer distances. Has someone done already a travel time matrix or database for travel time between various cities and towns etc - something similar that some modern travel books have. I am of course mostly interested in Pamaltela especially Fonrit, Umathela, Jolar, Maslo, Errinoru for example Hombori Tondo to Garguna x days and so on
  10. To be exact I am the custodian zealot of MeG - which is the brainchild of skoll. It is not mine 🙂 It is the original brainchild of skoll with me and Pruneau giving input for features and me among others having built lots of content with that to our worlds and for anyone to use in their worlds. I might be the most prolific (public) contributor but it is not mine (standing on the shoulder of giant here, would not exist without skoll). It has given me tremendous pleasure and utmost functional use in my campaign to build this and is one of the reasons for my reinvigorated participation in RPGs. Thanks for Alex for prompting me to generate the Goon above. Try it out - you will find somewhat larger selection of weapons with the goons.
  11. but my question is not single hex size. how many hexes in width and how many in height. it is very difficult to see and count the hexes on phone screen
  12. what would be the length and width of one argan argar atlas map page in hexes and kilometers
  13. How Big Is the Creature Anyway – SIZ Matters in Mythras Mythras SIZ is not linear when compared to many other stats. For example normal human is 2d6+6 on the SIZ and that is between 59-70 kg in weight. Normal Kaiju in Monster Island is SIZ 70 and that weights between 10,8 and 11,7 tons. Here is a first attempt at making it easier at the table to describe visually the size of the creatures First a short table Then a longer table comparing the SIZ against human, horse, Tyrannosaurus rex, elephant, Kaiju in Monster Island and your average blue whale The entire table is available in excel format here https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/12/19/how-big-is-the-creature-anyway-siz-matters-in-mythras/
  14. NOMCORSS V1.5 Mythras Campaign Rules Setup Tool Goes to Mythic Babylon and Does Classic Fantasy Mythras system is truly a toolkit. NOMCORSS (NotesFromPavis Opinionated Mythras Campaign Optional Rule Setup Sheet) tries to gather together all the Mythras rules options from all of the Mythras supplements with sensible (perhaps opinionated) default options. Version 1.5 contains in the order of 40 new rulings. – the new supplements added are Mythic Babylon and Classic Fantasy. There are now more than 260 rules which have options that you can select – some with multiple options. https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/11/27/nomcorss-v1-5-mythras-campaign-rules-setup-tool-goes-to-mythic-babylon-and-does-classic-fantasy/
  15. NOMCORSS Mythras Campaign Rules Setup Tool Does Fioracitta, Mythic Rome,Mythic Constantinople and gets UI facelift Mythras system is truly a toolkit. NOMCORSS (NotesFromPavis Opinionated Mythras Campaign Optional Rule Setup Sheet) tries to gather together all the Mythras rules options from all of the Mythras supplements with sensible (perhaps opinionated) default options. Version 1.4 contains now more than 30 new rulings. – the new supplements added are Fioracitta, Mythic Rome and Mythic Constantinople There are now close to 230 rules which have options that you can select – some with multiple options. There are now very many tool selections that you can do. Excel filters will be your friend – filter by category, perhaps then by topic. Remember all the edits are done on the first (Main) sheet (do not sort there). All the sorting should be done on Display sheet. To help you select here are a few tips and an additional feature. First – select which of the magic systems you want to use. They are the rows marked with orange ones. If you select one or couple of them (by selecting from the green column any choice that is not “No” and not starting with “Standard RAW” – all the choices for any magic system rule choices will be marked “Optional Magic System Chosen”. Now start selecting any of these “Optional Magic System Chosen” rules. There again if you select an option that is not “No” and not starting with “Standard RAW” the column named “Was there any optional rule chosen (rules that are standard in RAW count as False)” will be automatically marked True. On the display sheet – there is also a column “Was there any optional rule chosen (rules that are standard in RAW count as False)” Filter by using standard Excel filtering (in Excel the title of the column will contain dropdown” and select “True”. This will now show all the selected optional rules. It is an excel sheet which gives the GM a worksheet to select which optional rules are in effect in his/her particular campaign. You need to have own the various supplements it refers to if you want to use the rules mentioned here (every rule option reference points to the supplement and page). https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/09/25/nomcorss-mythras-campaign-rules-setup-tool-does-fioracitta-mythic-romemythic-constantinople-and-gets-ui-facelift/
  16. NOMCORSS Mythras Campaign Rules Setup Tool goes Lyonesse, Perceforest and Mythic Britain Mythras system is truly a toolkit. NOMCORSS (NotesFromPavis Opinionated Mythras Campaign Optional Rule Setup Sheet) tries to gather together all the Mythras rules options from all of the Mythras supplements with sensible (perhaps opinionated) default options. Version 1.3 contains now almost 200 (well 194) rule selection one can do – the new supplements added are Lyonesse,Mythic Britain,Mythic Britain,Perceforest Logres,Waterlands,Perceforest. There are now very many tool selections that you can do. Excel filters will be your friend – filter by category, perhaps then by topic. Remember all the edits are done on the first (Main) sheet (do not sort there). All the sorting should be done on Display sheet. It is an excel sheet which gives the GM a worksheet to select which optional rules are in effect in his/her particular campaign. Excel is starting to be somewhat unwieldy and will need to be refactored. You need to have own the various supplements it refers to if you want to use the rules mentioned here (every rule option reference points to the supplement and page). https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/09/24/nomcorss-mythras-campaign-rules-setup-tool-goes-lyonesse-perceforest-and-mythic-britain/
  17. Mythras Campaign Setup Tool Goes to Thennla and takes a Bird in the Hand Mythras Campaign Rules Setup Tool helps GMs to select and communicate rules chosen from an array of Mythras supplements. NOMCORSS is now at version 1.2 and has the options found in Shores of Korantia,Bird in the Hand,Taskan Empire,Sorandib and some of the Assabian Rites in there. There are now 120+ selectable rules with a few having more than 2 options for each. The display sheet shows now also “default” Mythras RAW options in gray, Not in use in red and the rest in green. Tool can be found here https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/09/19/mythras-campaign-setup-tool-goes-to-thennla-and-takes-a-bird-in-the-hand/
  18. Mythras can be considered as a very flexible toolkit for setting up your campaign. This gives enormous power to shape the campaign rules to fit the campaign content and mood. It also gives new GMs a question: Which options I need to setup and how do I communicate which rules are in effect. To answer this question there is a new tool NOMCORSS (NotesFromPavis Opinionated Mythras Campaign Optional Rule Setup Sheet). It is an excel sheet which gives the GM a worksheet to select which optional rules are in effect in his/her particular campaign. The first version is for before firepower age campaigns and should contain all RAW options and some popular house rules and setting rules that you can select for your campaign. Here is an example of opinionated setup for campaign tools. https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/09/17/mythras-campaign-rule-setup-tool/

  20. Combat Styles Combine And Go Encyclopaedic Combat Style Cards have been gathered into a single Encyclopaedia that is now 830 pages long. The Encyclopaedia contains Combat Style Traits and all the new indices in a single volume. Combat Style is a combination of weapons that a culture or organisation trains to be effectively used together. Combat Style usually include one or much more rarely more than one Combat Style Traits. Combat Style Cards are quick reference cards which show examples of such styles together with weapon statistics and how this combination of weapons interacts with Combat Special Effects. At the start of this document there are indices showing what styles are used in what areas and what organisations etc. Pick a combat style from these for your character or NPC and use this as a quick reference during the game. There is a table of content by area and table of contents is clickable so one can easily reach the combat style wanted. 21. 30 Combat Style Cards added for Tozer – Old Bones Stomping Grounds Combat Style Cards aim to give players (and GMs) an easy way to access all the special effects and other info associated with their weapons and combat style at a glance. There are some very nice sword and sorcery scenarios and additional tools material available from the stalwart Old Bones. Many of them are placed in Tozer, an area that can be readily transplanted to most any Sword and Sorcery campaign. I created combat style cards for the 30 currently existing combat styles in those publications. They are of course indexed as the already existing styles. They include also couple of nifty Combat Style Traits that I will add to the encyclopedia of Combat Style Traits soon. Here are the styles and they can be found in the Combat Style cards directory Briarwood Thief Claurin Knife-Thrower Claurin Mercenary Crafton Commoner Dureshi Commoner Dureshi Herder Dureshi Mercenary Grath Herder Heavy Pit Fighter Hilimyan Householder Light Pit Fighter Mountain Forester Mountain Guard Mountain Herder Mountain Miner Mountain Smith Mountain Villager Pit Keeper Street Rat Tinisford Villager Tough Temptress Tozerian Charioteer Tozerian Commoner Tozerian Farmer Tozerian Infantry Tozerian Socialite Traveling Ground Fighter Traveling Herder Traveling Horse Warrior Wealthy Fop https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/06/07/30-combat-style-cards-added-for-tozer-old-bones-stomping-grounds/

  23. Numbers Post: 4000th Encounter at MeG – Mythras Encounter Generator Mythras Encounter Generator (and its previous branding) has been in existence now for about 9 years – since 2013. I wrote my first post about it in September 9, 2013 and it had been in existence a few months before. MeG has generated 649 256 NPCs since the early days. Today there were four new encounters created Aru-Jumbie Progadu Mind-eater Astorwal Courser – Wizard’s Guardian Chaos Giant Champion The 4000th public encounter was the Astorwal Courser. Altogether there are over 8300 templates in MeG – a little bit over half are private templates. There are 59272 additional feature items in 408 categories (like Abilities, Curse Spirit Abilities, Basic Poisons, Exotic Poisons, Saxon names, Avenue of Delights Effects and so on). Some of these NPCs belong to one of the more than 180 cults or sorcery orders of which there are more than 620 different ranks detailed. The main link to Mythras Encounter Generator remains https://notesfrompavis.blog/2022/05/09/numbers-post-4000th-encounter-at-meg-mythras-encounter-generator/
