  1. If there were pre-sales (like video games do) I would buy the first book now so you could use my money to commission cool covers! Hell, I'll donate money for cool covers and still buy the whole series as they come out! I might be just a bit thrilled this series is actually happening!
  2. All super awesome things the read about on the back cover... where that image would be perfect and get a potential purchaser thinking about the how cool this is going to be... but a front cover has to stop a person as they walk (browse) by and say "HEY, YOU NEED TO CHECK THIS OUT" - so no Rubble is perfect - but the Ostrich Carriage and some of the other things you have talked about in this thread have made my imagination soar and my desire to buy this book overwhelming... Now you need an image that does the same for someone who hasn't read this thread 😉
  3. Personally, while the old skool look is okay, I dont get the feel of RuneQuest from the drawing, and I especially dont get the feel of "Pavis". The dragon, the spindly wizards tower dont mesh well with the drawings and illustrtations I know of Pavis. I think the cover has to scream PAVIS. Pavis, the crossroads of Prax - the city on the edge of the Rubble - the home of the Grey Company - home of Ostrich Carriages - the home of Gimpy's.
  4. I also remember reading somewhere that the different herd-beasts of the different tribes eat different plants... so co-existence can occur
  5. 1. Which version of Runequest do you run? Or perhaps even another system? RQ3 and RQ6 2. How long have you ran your campaign? 4 years / 5 months 3. What time period in Glorantha did you start? 1612 / 1612 4. Where in Glorantha did you start? What regions has your campaign covered since? Prax 5. Where are your pcs from? Prax, Dragon Pass, Lunar Empire, Holy Lands 6. What products from any version of Runequest have you used? Which were particularly useful? Sun Country, Borderlands, River of Cradles 7. Is it a sandbox or more plot led campaign? Combo (both a push and a pull) 8. How much have you followed the arching events of the time period or has your Glorantha varied? Varied as I dont want either Sartar or Empire to win 9. How would you describe your campaign? Varied and a mix of all sorts of ideas from gaming systemsm annd world from the last 40 years 10. What advice would you give newbie gms to runequest and glorantha? Pick a place you love, and start small there... gradually feed in the rest of the Glorantha as you get comfortable, but feel free to leave out what you dont (for me it is dinosaurs)
  6. Is there any plans for official publications set in the Wastelands?
  7. I just purchased the entire Sandheart set 😃 Awesome stuff...
  8. Hi folks, Since the days of RQ2-3 I have always been fascinated by the Wastelands... The Copper Sands, the Plateau of Statues, Swamps, Broo, the Chaos Box... All sound so cool and adventurous! Are there any published works on this fascinating area (beside the Guide)? Any adventures? Any collections of Lore? Has anyone run an adventure there? If not, can this thread be the genesis of that collection of Lore to help with my fascination?
  9. I created a list of all the spells in RBoM with their page numbers in a spreadsheet for those of us who use such things... List-of-spells-from-RBoM.xls
  10. Sidebar Question: Do Dragonewts have their own currency? What do they use for money/trade
  11. The one thing that is clear to me is that the Tithe has to be given immediately! For as we all know... "Time and Tithe Wait for No Man"
  12. I always imagined the end of the LBQ going something like this: "Orlanth stood with Yelm in the Hall of the Dead, and saw before him two paths... One path was a path of light, and showed Yelm put back on his throne, back as the Emperor of all Gods, back as the Ruler of the Celestial Court, back as a Lord that even Orlanth must recognize as the One above All... This path rid the world of all Chaos but made he and his people thralls for eternity... and Orlanth cried out and cast his gaze from this path. The other path was darker, and saw the taint of Chaos spread throughout the cosmos, saw the compromise that he and all others must embrace, saw the conflict and struggle that continued without end, saw the gods die and saw magic leave the world... but this path left his people free of the terrible yoke of servitude, free to struggle and to prosper and to fail and to die, but to die free of the reign of others... And Orlanth strode out onto the darker path, where awaited Arachne Solara..."
  13. Does anyone remember when this was a thread about the mortality of populations living in a magical world?
