  1. I've not heard/seen anything to say it is not still valid - so go for it!
  2. The RuneQuest Roleplaying in Glorantha starter box has a Eurmal character as a pregen - Narres Runepainter. I started playing her two weeks ago. Outwardly she portrays herself as a simple artist, a Runepainter, helping people be prepared for death and sending those who have died onwards safely post mortem. She is also a thief and pickpocket, a trickster, and the way I am playing it, willing to do whatever she needs to in order to make her business better. I am doing it that she doesn't play tricks for tricks sake, but she'll do something in order to get away with fleecing someone in a deal, or getting into their home to scope the place out so she can later go back and steal a valuable trinket, that sort of thing. I'm enjoying her so far.

    Combat Actions

I think it is kind of a cool idea, as a "Special ability", to be ahead of the game in certain circumstances. If it is a big bad, or a mighty hero, who can steal their own actions from the next round then it provides an advantage in the moment, but a distinct disadvantage in the next moment. Yes, they might evade/block a nasty hit this turn, but it means they can do less and block less next turn, so if the opponent recognises this and pushes hard over the next round(s) that initial flurry of greatness becomes a game of trying to keep up and failing. In real life it is akin to putting extra effort in to get something done but then feeling spent and constantly on the back foot for the next few moments until you are able to take a breather. I might even rule a bonus to the opponent in those subsequent round(s) because of it. This could be quite a cool house rule to investigate!
  4. This is my understanding of it too. I am aware that Legend is MRQii (I don't know why you quoted my last post - I don't see how what I said is relevant to your post at all) and I agree that Chaosium is fine with it. I own Mythras/Imperitive in PDF but have never properly read it, only browsed. Then there is M-SPace and Reflux, also good derivitives!
  5. All my conversations with Matthew Sprange basically says, "all text in Legend is open licence. Copy and change anything you like, but ensure you put the OGL in. Images, other than the logo, are off limits."
  6. Every "Core line" Legend book has just one cover (the black ones) with the exception of the Core book, which has one alternative cover: The alternative core rulebook cover. The "Other lines" also then have their one cover. (There is also the Deus Vault books, but I don't own those.)
  7. I just want to say to Chaosium a little thank you for the awesomeness that is CoC and also for allowing Mongoose to release the setting-free system that is Legend. These are two of my favourite systems to GM or play in. Thank you. Sam / Bifford
  8. Legend is still being worked on, they (Mongoose) have just had bigger fish in the net to deal with first. There are books in the works they tell us, but they are not a priority currently. I keep intending to create my setting into a book and going to them for publishing (I work in Swindon where they are based) or at least their seal of approval but it's getting round to making it....
