  1. If you use summon (type) elemental, yes, per RQG 343, until it dies. RQG elementals have no INT.
  2. just checking that you've read the entries in: RQ Starter Set, Book 2, page 57 GM Screen Pack, Adventurers Book, pages 37, 50, 73 (Entry 41, is likely what you are after).
  3. Note that the working title of Masters of Luck and Death was changed to Lords of Fate in Wyrm's Footnotes #11 (1981)
  4. The difference here is that Hykim and Mikyh subcults are actually full cults (not spirit cults) that support a relevant culture. So rather than a paragraph and a Rune Spell they have much more (eg the Telmor cult is expanded from that is the RQ Bestiary and includes the extra Rune spell in the RBoM)
  5. Ancient Origins has published an article and accompanying video, Forging Forgotten Ancient Greek Armor which gives some insights into bronze-smithing in Glorantha. While some of the equipment used is clearly modern, it's a great look into ancient Greek armour: Article: https://www.ancient-origins.net/videos/ancient-greek-armor-0019053 Dimitrios Katsikis on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hellenicarmors/ His exhibition in Athens: https://www.hellenicarmors.gr/en/ Video on Youtube: (Keep an eye out for the Air Rune reference...)
  6. See the list of cults and books here: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com/home/catalogue/publishers/chaosium/runequest-gods-of-glorantha-previews-2019/ Note that the Horned man is not a cult, but effectively the shaman rules, making all spirit cults, subcults of the Horned Man.
  7. A few pointers: You don't start as a shaman, you start as an assistant shaman. You struggle to become a shaman in a similar manner to becoming a Rune Lord or Priest Shaman are the master of spirits and spirit combat, not masters of combat. This is the same with many non-martial Rune levels. The role of the shaman will vary depending on the cult. Shaman are not useful in combat as it's an hour long ritual to discorporate. Shamans and assistant shamans that I have had i my games, generally stay out of combat, unless it's spirit combat where they excel. I very rarely have fights in my game.
  8. The only new thing is that Kolat is in the lightbringers book as an associate of Orlanth Thunderous, giving Bind Wind.
  9. Or Nevada Jones as the Call of Cthulhu Starter Set pregen is called: https://www.chaosium.com/content/FreePDFs/CoC/CHA23158 - Call of Cthulhu Starter Set/CHA23158 - PreGen Characters.pdf No whip, but easy to add.
  10. I use it as a medicine bundle (per Nomad God's), in short it's the focus of Raven's spirit cult. A shaman would use it as the focus of an Axis Mundi to shortcut access to the spirit tree where the Three Feathered Friends can be found in the spirit world. (I always thought Scott's version was way too complicated and large) But if it's that powerful and you can leave the area of the tree, place it in a orchard in Genert's Garden.
  11. 1622, see Glorantha Sourcebook, page 35, the WIP here at the bottom: and the final picture on page 392 of 13th Age Glorantha. She clearly didn't manage to convert her though...
  12. There are two: Page 63 Box - What Do Skill Percentages Mean (in five bands) Page 171 Table - Language Proficiency (in five different bands)
  13. Other than his actual war (and death), Jannisor isn't a new god or hero. The results of his actions actions are important, hence his mention in Erelia and Verelia (35)
  14. Their fate is here: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com/first-age-wenelia/
  15. Given that Mralot and Entru are both the sons of Ketha. I'd treat them as different masks of the same boar god. I suspect that Entru isn't worshipped much if at all as the Entruli don't seem to have survived the first age as a whole, whereas Mralot(a) is worshipped by the Solanthi and in Nimistor, and may be worshipped a tiny amount in Wenelia and by the Ditali.
  16. It's a concept in a number of real-world mythologies like Ginnungagap. You may also find this helpful: https://essexmyth.wordpress.com/2017/09/28/the-void/
  17. We assumed that supporting crew were part of the keyword, although I'm pretty sure at one point we added a better pilot as a breakout (I wasn't running the ship so I don't have the card). We did give the crew names though (like a +0 breakout).
  18. We treated starships as companions (3 Keywords/skill 17, 13, 13 & 15 points): Aged Starship 1M Laser turrets +1 Sensors +1 Cargo hold +1 Nimble 13 Aged 13 (Flaw)
  19. They will be in the Cults of RuneQuest Supplementary Volume 2: Lists of Esrolian Goddesses You Never need to run a game (Volume 1 is Adding complexity to RuneQuest with Fiddly Hero Wars cults no one cares about).
  20. It doesn't contain everything. We know from the Guide that Doburdun is the pale and timorous god of storm from the Darsen Hills, who is associated with Entekos. Other Darsenite gods are also not included such as Derdromus and Poralistor.
  21. The Master hunters are effectively the shrines and temples, carrying their sacred items with them. A shrine needs 75–225 lay members and initiates. On the holy days, the Master Hunter sets up the alter and sanctifies it. Lay membership is easy (donate prey to the tribe once per season for Foundchild). Most herders, and warriors will be opportunistic lay members. You get to call yourself a hunter and can take part in the Great Hunt (one of the big annual events). The Great Hunt will usually attract enough Hunters for at least a Major Temple. I'd run Yinkin and Odayla exactly the same - they are associate cults, all hunters will be lay members of these cults. You can also treat Yinkin and Odayla as Orlanth subcults as well (you'll see this in the cults books)
