  1. @YanYi The Cthulhu Dreadfuls have several scenarios in the Austro-Hungarian empire circa 1890s, in the fictional Wystdovja Vale. There's 2 scenarios and their gazetteer is free. I enjoyed these. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/327247/cthulhu-dreadfuls-presents-1-kiss-of-blood
  2. I think it would be cool to see a Savage Worlds Stormbringer... i'd like to see it anyways. (I also think the Stormbringer rules d100 already work perfect for it.)
  3. There's Legs, https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/243048/Legs?affiliate_id=300786. It's an older CoC edition.
  4. @EldorfDragonsbane Hi Eldorf, sorry for the delay and thank you for the question. Yes, i've been working on this and have a lot more. I've been spec'ing out the planes (top planes from the major players), tanks and a few armored cars. Here's the FT17 tank for example, pasted below, which spec-wise may still change a little, some things i'm still solidifying on that. (I still want to flesh out damaging certain internal components on the tanks.) I've put together some dog fighting rules with advantage based on your plane vs you're opponents. Like the Fokker scourge happened because the Fokker was the superior plane for that period. I added civilian organizations and their professions/backgrounds. Those orgs being The American Red Cross, Salvation Army, American Field Services/AFS, American Fund for French Wounded/AFFW, and the YMCA. These allowed civilians to work in the war and many helping the allies. The AFFW specifically worked with the French. You're right, Americans fought with other countries like the Canadians or Lafayette Escadrille. I didnt add those because i'm unfamiliar with those unit TOEs. Maybe I can add the unit names. I also spec'd out specific WW1 weapons like the 37mm Puteaux and the Vivien Bessiers grenade launcher. Mmm, I also spec'd a subhunter... this was mainly for an Innsmouth scenario but it should be included here as well. (our listening technology and depth charges are a real eye opening surprise to the Deep Ones lol, and a great initial advantage for us... like a subhunter scourge). I've added optional rules to make things a little more realistic but still keeping it easy (dont want to muddy or over complicate). Thank you for the interest, i'll give this more focus now!! And if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask. Thanks, Gil
  5. Here's a few more for you. The top 4 are Miskatonic Repository. The Haunted Grove A Color in a Dark Age The Bloated Saint The Secret of Silcestre Never Meet Again (Stygian Fox) Pagan Call (this was a longer campaign I really liked. It was legitimately free on one of the writer's web page, something like that.) The Vampire of Schwarzbrunn (in World of Cthulhu 1) Malevolence (in World of Cthulhu 3) Lands of the Dark Wicche The Tomb (scenario in the 2nd edition of Dark Ages, I think it was 2e? Catalog number is 2398. One of the writers did Pagan Call.) A Conspiracy In Damascus (Bayt Al Azif #1) Here Be Dragons (seems to be from the Pagan Call/Pegasus Spiele folks) A New Jerusalem (tournament scenario for Hammercon III 2011)
  6. This is such an awesome sourcebook. The hard back is an insta-buy for me.
  7. In my group, to reduce rolls when we attack, we include the damage and location dice as well. If it's a hit, you don't need to then roll for location and damage because it's already rolled. If you fail the attack, just ignore those dice. And the same for spirit combat. We find it does move things along and we like it.
  8. I'd like to see something on Sumer and/or just that era and area in general. I did the Kickstarter for the Adventurers Guide to the Bible.. going to use that for CoC. Great info there. (Their Silk Road looks to be good too and more info to use.) Use all the Mythras stuff too and love it. I've been reading thru their Babylon and the old Testament RPG from Green Ronin (I'm really liking the Hittite supplement). I think there's great info to harvest there. But yeah, I really like what Chaosium is putting out and would love to see more settings. (My want list, some Kievan Rus; Antioch/Acre; Arabian Nights; Slovakia-actually Eastern Europe in general and am glad to see the Ukrainian QS; Mission Era California - Fort Ross/Russians - the Spanish - First People - Settlers trickling in (maybe this is a late colonial or early western setting; more of India/COF; more IndoChina - i'm liking Journal d'Indochine... there's just so much. I just love reading it all.)
  9. And very well done I might add. Their additional 'Tickets of Leave' supplements also add so much extra content.
  10. I'm really liking what I've found for BRP Space. M-Space, Rivers of Heaven, New Horizon and what I'll call its companions: Spaced Marine, Mythos Buster, Dark Harvest (this is a New Horizon campaign), Merchant Venturer and The Expendables (campaign). There is so much for New Horizon. Great content, I would pay for this in hard back!! But to your question, besides what's already been mentioned, there's Darkness in the Void and Salo's Glory (both by Stygian Fox). Back to New Horizon, there are many scenarios. Spaced Marine has Surface Tension, Tenants of Hell, The Abbadon Key, The Dig and The Stars Also on Fire (it's a campaign). The Ganymede Job... there's just so much. I'm still trying to read it all. I'm very very impressed with it.
  11. Picked it up. Really like what i'm reading... will definitely be playing it, great job!!! Cheers.
  12. Can't wait to pick these up then sitting down to read. (I like how the Mythic Britain line is being supported, Logres and now Gwynedd.)
  13. I like this, thank you. I also was wanting something for these ambush predators and I think you hit the nail on the head. On the wargames, lol, I do the same. (I actually use ASL's Residual Fire rules in concept in CoC/DG, but that's another game.) Cheers, Gil
  14. I like this close combat idea. How do you rule it for RQG? (I'd like to implement doing this as well.)
  15. Ditto, I'm curious myself. I'd like to pick this up (looking at my copies of Dark Streets and Five Points on the shelf.)
  16. I was about to say the same thing. Armies and Enemies of Dragon Pass did it (another glorious cover), did Sandheart? I think they added updated art. But anyways, like mentioned, some add a very nice cover (or more art) after some $ has come in making it more feasible or for other reasons.
  17. I will be buying this regardless, but man, do I love a good RQ cover. Seeing some of the covers from the Jonstown Compendium: Legion, Men of the West, Six Seasons in Sartar, The Throat of Winter, The Sandheart series, Holiday Dorastor - Temple of Heads, The Gifts of Prax, Life of Moonson, Alogo's Caravan... I can really go on. But my point, they evoke the feeling. I feel an instant immersion into Glorantha, into the scenario, it pulls me the f$#k in... makes me want more.
  18. I actually have that and didn't even think of it, thanks!! (have the BRP version.)
  19. Well, this is certainly an old thread I'm commenting on. Did anyone ever mock up any BRP stats? I'm finally getting around to reading my Witchcraft books, damn, CJ Carella writes some brilliant stuff. I love this setting. However, I don't care for the Unisystem. So i figure I'll use BRP with the Witchcraft setting. Not going to convert stats but rather stat things up myself. Most likely as I play along. It shouldn't be hard with all the d100 creatures out now. (I did pick up the BRP Witchcraft supplement which looks very useful.)
  20. Book 4 Adventures, Rainbow Mounds Scenario Page 61, left column, Slud Should have 11 Magic Points since her POW is 11. Page 70, right column, 2nd paragraph, last sentence: Where it mentions the asterisk. The asterisk is missing on the Rainbow Mounds map. Page 72, left column, 4th line from bottom: Queen 'Kallyr' should be Queen 'Leika' i think. Map of Rainbow Mounds: Besides the mentioned missing asterisk mentioned above: - In 'The Newtling Cave', it would be beneficial to add the symbol for the Newtling statue like the RQ2 Rainbow Mounds' Map has (it's helpful).
  21. Greetings all, I'm getting ready to run scenarios based in Clearwine: the GM pack, Starter pack, Smoking Ruins. While reading and prepping, a few questions came up. (Also have my Korolstead and Cups/Dregs of Clearwine.) Assume year early 1626. *Do people, non-Clearwine militia or queen's men, wear armor and carry weapons in the city-fort, is it allowed? *Is the Ernalda temple located right outside the city or about 3-4Km away as shown on the map in Quickstart rules p27? (Gonna use the outside layout and description of the temple from page 39 of the HQ Sartar Companion, also using Martin's Temples & Towers.) *Is the champion Nameless, from GM's Pack, or Wilms Willandring (FB post)? (maybe Nameless is tribal champion and Wilms is Ernaldori clan champion?) *Is Hareva Chan (FB post on Sartar book) or Hareva Weaver (GM Kit) the owner of The Ram's Head and counselor to the king. Then a non-Clearwine question. *Can a Humakti cast rune and spirit magic during the week they can't speak due to a Humakti no-speak geas? Thank you in advance. I appreciate it, Gil
  22. Backed as well.
  23. Luise also just posted on Steve's FB page.
  24. Hi folks, as of this weekend Luise was able to gain access to the GoFundMe. She was really touched by it. I didn't speak with her personally... a local close friend of theirs went over to help her start sorting things out.
  25. This saddens me and I am just sad. The world went a little darker. But I know Steve would want me/us to carry on and think of the good times. He’s such a kind soul with a big heart. His rules changed my life. I defended the Tin Inn and went into Snake Pipe in the early 80s and never looked back or stopped. I met Steve about 4 years ago when I ran the RQ quickstarter for Free RPG Day in Garden Grove CA. He strolled into Brookhurst Hobbies, with his familiar hat, and I was so excited. Then I was like, oh man, I hope I remember the rules, uhh… but he was so cool and down to earth. I remember I wanted to just talk to him more than run the scenario. He hung around after and our whole table just talked with him for over an hour. (It turned out we all lived in about a 10 mile radius from one another in Orange County CA.) A little later on we started gaming at his friend Marsha’s house or at my friend John’s and that’s when I really started to get to know him. Sometimes we played RQ, play tested his super’s or Urvantan’s tower and other times it was board games. I found out he loved playing naval miniatures which excited me because I do as well. He mentioned he had a load of ships up in the Bay area and we were going to try and get them somehow. He shared the story about the origins of Ducks and the figure maker in the Bay area. I also asked him how Luise came up with the iconic RQ cover, then if he remembered anything about the Sea Cave scenario, and on and on. He was always happy to talk, fun and kind. He was so generous with his invites to game. He also said one of the funniest things. One time I was running the group through the Foot Print and I used a shoggoth as a chaos creature. He leaned over and asked in a low voice if I ever played RQ with Sandy Peterson… he paused then said, you’re really playing Call of Cthulhu. I started laughing, I mean I wouldn’t know but I thought that was so funny and he was grinning. I remember Steve always brought a tub of ginger snaps to game night, from Trader Joes to be exact. And he had so many different game nights going on. He also liked desert wine, like moscatos. I think the next time I game in person, we’ll toast to him with a moscato. And one last memory, Steve loved Luise with all his heart and it was so warming to see. My last conversations with him were trying to help get a truck so we could pick up a special bed for Luise. She was always first and foremost in his mind and she came before anything. Steve, I miss you man. Your friend Gil.
