  1. I've just received my copy.Brother has too.BRP is definitely off the leash in Europe now! I think the tome has a pleasing old-school feel to it...splendid piece o work.
  2. In case any Brits are interested, there's a Scottish guy on e-bay with four copies of BRP for sale. Also some zero edition copies...
  3. I've cancelled my pre-order with Amazon UK,since they still don't seem to know when they'll get their hands on BRP,but Leisure Games (London) are taking pre-orders with a view to getting stock in on July 9th.Seems about right to me.I've bought from them before;they're a good company.I too bought a pdf copy,as i just couldn't wait.:thumb:
  4. Intriguing.I'd have thought a Norman would know precisely how to deal with a shield wall, hoho
  5. Look after yourself, mate.Come back safe and sound.
  6. I've got to mention 'Mythago Wood' by Robert Holdstock, which i'm reading right now.A brilliant, haunting novel set in England after WW2.It won a World Fantasy Award, and deservedly so!His concept of mythagos could quite easily be worked into most RPG's.
  7. Hehheh,my dictionary informs me that 'trow' is an archaic word, meaning 'believe' or 'trust'...maybe those rocks are illusory.Disbelieve!Disbelieve!
  8. Yeah,me too.Frustrating.I wanna see that BRP character sheet...
  9. Welcome,Tywyll.Aha!So it's true-I'm not the only one who couldn't get into Glorantha!I would have been happier to experience it via novels rather than as a game setting.Nice use of 'trope',by the way.You just don't see that word often enough.
  10. Fantastic news.I hope BRP wings its way over to Europe as soon as poss.Or maybe us Europeans could simply buy copies from the USA,seeing as how the dollar is virtually worthless,heheh...I personally like the cover, but why the long face, sirrah?you ought to be grinning like a loon to find yourself as cover boy for BRP!Well done,Jason. Thanks for all your hard work.People are gonna love it,i'm sure.
  11. Cheers.Actually,I should explain...certain aspects of Glorantha I loved-namely,the monsters and the whole chaos thing. To this day,Jack o'bear (?)and broo are two of my favourite beasties. My brother was the Glorantha freak.Never stopped going on about his damned dragonnewt...
  12. Hi folks...I cut my gaming teeth on D&D way back in 1980.Moved onto Dragonquest(anyone remember that?!),Call of Cthulhu,Space Opera,Boot Hill.Currently occasionally playing H.A.R.P. (a sort of streamlined version of Rulemonster,I mean Rolemaster).A confession:I've only played Runequest once(ahem).I love the BRP system but somehow couldn't get into Glorantha.Heresy,I know...
  13. That's encouraging news...let's hope so.Is anyone else concerned about the possibility of 4th edition D&D (due out June 6th) stealing BRP's thunder if the release dates are close together?Obviously I'm eager for BRP to pull in new acolytes...
