  1. Thank you everyone for the feedback - much appreciated.
  2. So I am a huge fan of the various BRP based games and they have been my go to over the years. However - One thing I keep hearing is that BRP breaks down completely when doing Superhero style stuff. Its something I have picked up on numerous forums. However - I've never really seen any specific examples of why it breaks down. Can anyone with more experience potentially point out specifically what causes the problem and where it falls down?
  3. Thats really helpful - Thanks for taking the time to put this together
  4. Just purchased my copy today and am slowly working through the PDF - This is an awesome book, even if you don't plan on using the actual setting, there is still plenty to use.
  5. Excellent to hear that its almost out - This was pretty much on my "Must Buy" list the minute it was announced and each glimpse of it just looks better and better
  6. Thanks for all the responses folks - There is plenty of good stuff here. I also hear that there is a Mythras version of "After the Vampire Wars" coming out at some point which also looks like it could be right for me also.
  7. Thanks for that Raleel Looks like I may be investing in both those books for the future then
  8. Hi All I'm a big fan of BRP in general and especially of Mythras. I'm curious how well it scales up in power - I know that Mythras can do gritty, "Sword and Sorcery" style games and historical stuff really well, but it seems (to me at least) that it seems firmly rooted in a more "Human" level of power. Can it scale up to a more epic level of power? Where do the break points kick in? For example - I was a big fan of the old Unisystem Witchcraft/Armageddon Games and ran a very successful campaign using that, but it featured Powerful Mages and Demigods fighting against Cthulhoid minions. Could Mythras emulate that level of play? What about Exalted? How could it handle that sort of power level? Thanks in advance
  9. Yep, Its 1 HP per Level, to a max number of Levels = Starting CON
  10. Thanks for the reply's folks. I like the "Research only" option - especially if researching means they have to track down those bits of lore
  11. Hi All Looking for a little advice. I really like the Magic System in "Mage: The Ascension" and was considering how to port it to BRP. My Initial thought was to make each Sphere a separate Magic Skill - Using the 5 Dot system in Mage as divisions of 20% skill ( 1 dot = 01 - 20, 2nd Dot = 21-40% etc) However, theres a part of me that thinks only 10 Magic skills may mean lots of Master Mages in fairly short order. I also considered mixing it with the Intensity / Duration / Area skills of Old Runequest Sorcery... not sure. Any suggestions?
  12. Now these I would be veryInterested in seeing... especially as I was thinking of converting a lot of the Armageddon stuff myself...
  13. Hi All My Group quite like the setting for Eden Studios "Witchcraft" & "Armageddon" Games (Unisystem) and in an effort to try and convert them over to BRP, I'm pondering the feasibility of converting the game, especially the Non-Human beings. Does anyone have any ideas / Pointers where i might start?
  14. Thanks for the reply's folks. Now I just have to wait till June for the actual release date
  15. I'm a great fan of the "Urban" supernatural type of Genre (if it is a genre on its own) Things like Eden Studios Armageddon or the NWoD.. that sort of thing. Has any one tried running something like that with BRP? How feasable do you think it would be (I dont have Zero Edition yet... eagerly awaiting the Full version )
