  1. I have an old copy, which is probably way out of date. Mee Vorala grants Moulder, which affects one object with a fungus disease. Nysalor Prophets are said to have cured diseases that they started, but doesn't go into detail about where they got the diseases from.
  2. You could do it with a paper inset that folds out for the length of the pike.
  3. Looking at Power Classes, if you do use them for Elementals, I wouldn't use RQ3's 1D6 per Size Class/Power Class. Instead, I'd use RQ2's idea of Small/Medium/Large/Huge Elementals and allocate them as Small = M, Medium = L, Large = XL, Huge = XXL and so on.
  4. These are the Power Class rules from Merrie England:Age of Crusade. They might change before publication, though. Power Class When dealing with magical creatures, we can use the Power Class, which works in much the same manner as a Size Class. Each creature has a Power Class, depending on its race. Power Class is expressed as a number, but for ease of understanding we will frequently describe it with the Power codes used for clothing (S, M, L, XL, XXL…) All humans and most humanoid monsters are of Medium Power, that is they have Power Class 3. Power Class Modifiers Class Power Class Power Bonus Angelic Rank Demonic Rank 0 Tiny (T) -3 1 Compact/Extra Small (C/XS) -2 2 Small (S) -1 3 Medium (M) 0 Imp 4 Large (L) 1 Angel Lesser Demon 5 Extra-Large (XL) 2 Archangel Greater Demon 6 XX-Large (XXL) 3 Principality Knight 7 XXX-Large (XXXL) 4 Power Earl 8 Huge (H) 5 Virtue Marquis 9 Extra Huge (XH) 6 Domination President 10 XX-Huge (XXH) 7 Throne Duke 11 XXX-Huge (XXXH) 8 Cherubim Prince 12 Enormous (E) 9 Seraphim King The more magically powerful a creature is, the higher its Power Rank. In the same way that creatures with a high Size Rank do not normally have an ever-increasing base STR, magical creatures with a high Power Rank do not have a very large WIL. This means that WIl is normally kept as 4d6 for all magical creatures, but when used the WIL gets a bonus of twice the Power Bonus. So, a Demonic Prince might have a 4d6 WIL and roll 15, but gets a bonus of +16, increasing effective WIL to 31. This makes higher ranking creatures very powerful indeed.
  5. Merrie England:Age of Crusade has a Power Class, which works similarly to the Size Class. You could match the Elemental's size in cubic metres to a power Class, so more powerful Elementals have a higher Power Class. that way, you don't need Shades with 10D6 WIL knocking about.
  6. I'm not a Moderator, but just knock it off. This is a Forum about RPG Games, not about real world religions or your intolerance of some of them. There are many sites that would welcome bigoted views, so you can hapily post on those.
  7. The Magic Innit thread shows you how to put Runes into a post.
  8. I just assumed that R-27 is a warehouse of some kind.
  9. Have you sent these out yet? I did send you an email a while ago, but have not had a reply.
  10. What? It had probably the best Time Travel logic I have ever seen.
  11. We got to Rune Levels and beyond in RQ2. It is relatively easy, especially with good access to Healing and Resurrection.
  12. I have run Winterfall before, as a HeroQuest. Basically, the Forces of Winter come down from the mountains and fight the Forces of Summer,. to see who will rule the next couple of Seasons. Normally, cultists of Inora, Valind, Gargarth, Himile and other darkness cults come down and fight cultists of Orlanth, the Thunder Brothers, maybe Yelmalio or Lodril and other Summery Cults. They either fight in a battle or engage in a series of contests to see who will be victorious. In my River Voices/Arganauts campaign, the Great Winter had fallen and the powers of Winter were strong, so they came in force. Normally, Orlanth opposes them, but Orlanth was Dead, so the Lunars stepped in to take his place, with their Kalikos HeroQuestor and some Lodrili, with some Oakfed-wielding Agimori. The PCs were annoyed that the Lunars were interfering, so fought on the side of Winter, as they were Giant-Friends and they assumed that giants come from the mountains so should like Winter. After a vicious battle, Winter was victorious and increased the strength of the Great Winter.
  13. For me, I can have a campaign of murder hobos in HeroQuest as easily as in RuneQuest, as well as emulating mythic stuff in RuneQuest and HeroQuest. That kind of thing is just a state of mind.
  14. Hah! Mallia has many types of disease and there should be STDs in Glorantha. For example, Cockrot and Screaming Pus are sent as punishment to vile fornicators.
  15. I would play that it removes both. as it is not a Stackable spell, at least it doesn't stack with itself.
  16. It is probably some deep Orlanthi Traditions, disguised as a quaint backwoods dance., the Spiral representing Storm, or rather Air.
  17. When I played D&D, Paladins were notoriously thick. "Now that we have captured some goblins, we need to question them. Paladin, why don't you go off and keep watch, to make sure their friends don't sneak up on them?" "What, and leave them with you for you to torture, no way!" "What do you mean, we don't torture anyone, we just want to question them, so go off out of earshot" "OK!"
  18. You and your swords. Regarding the stunt, if a GM can think of a good reason why it should apply to other weapons, then go for it. Having watched a good few series of Erugrul:Resurrection, I can think of loads of places where they used scimitars and daggers to cut the throats of their enemies, in combat, so the Stunt would be a good way of achieving that. I agree that an Irish Flail has absolutely no finesse, so the stunt would not necessarily be applicable.
  19. Your Base SR is your DEX Strike Rank + SIZ Strike Rank. These are given in the Strike Rank tables on p 57 of the RQG Rulebook. Your final Strike Rank with a weapon is your Base SR + Weapon Strike Rank. Weapon strike ranks are given in the RQG Rulebook on p 208-209, they don't include Bite, but all natural Weapons are SR4, including Bite. Most natural weapons have a weapon Strike Rank of 4. In a Bestiary, Strike ranks normally use average characteristics. So, in the examples given: Giant Antlions have SIZ 3D6+12 (Average 22-23) and DEX 1D4+4 (Average 6-7), this gives a SIZ SR of 0 and a DEX SR of 4, so a Base SR of 4. It uses a Bite, with a weapon SR of 4, so the final Strike Rank is 8. Guard Beetles have SIZ 3D6+6 (Average 16-17) and DEX 2D6 (Average 7), this gives SIZ SR 1 and DEX SR 4, so a Base SR of 5. It uses a Bite, with a weapon SR of 4, so the final Strike Rank is 9.
  20. I think she did. That is what she gained on the Hill of Gold.
  21. A potion of teleport allows you to teleport somewhere, that is quite useful. A Disc of teleport allows someone who stands on the disc to be Teleported somewhere. Where have I heard that before?
  22. She could have a darkness mother, wife of Valind, maybe a daughter of Himile. Who is Valind's mother? Might also be a darkness deity, perhaps another daughter of Himile.
  23. I thought I could hear the curious tone Of the cornet, clarinet and big trombone Fiddle, 'cello, big bass drum Bassoon, flute and euphonium Far away, as in a trance I heard the sound of the Spiral Dance As I walked home on a Summer night When stars in Heav'n were shining bright Far away from the footlight's glare Into the sweet and scented air Of a quaint old Lunar town Borne from afar on the gentle breeze Joining the murmur of the northern sea Distant tones of an old world dance Played by the village band perchance On the calm air came floating down I thought I could hear the curious tone Of the cornet, clarinet and big trombone Fiddle, 'cello, big bass drum Bassoon, flute and euphonium Far away, as in a trance I heard the sound of the Spiral Dance I heard the sound of the Spiral Dance And soon I heard such a bustling and prancing And then I saw the whole village was dancing In and out of the houses they came Old folk, young folk, all the same In that quaint old Lunar town Every boy took a girl 'round the waist And hurried her off in tremendous haste Whether they knew one another I care not Whether they cared at all, I know not But they kissed as they danced along And there was the band with that curious tone Of the cornet, clarinet and big trombone Fiddle, 'cello, big bass drum Bassoon, flute and euphonium Each one making the most of his chance All together in the Spiral Dance All together in the Spiral Dance Dancing here, prancing there Jigging, jogging ev'rywhere Up and down, and round the town Hurrah! For the Lunar Spiral Dance
