  1. Well, well ... Far West IS out now ... still no BRP Jorune though 😞
  2. What's this!! ... Could it be? 😮 ... https://www.facebook.com/ChaosiumInc/posts/pfbid02yWJuc5zfQ3x6sT9bsYVQAy2zHodR5DSCNqLRdezjv7J51gbroNtQdnN8uQreJjqdl
  3. Anyone else aware of this game? (TE DEUM POUR UN MASSACRE - Ulule) ... Oh my this game looks magnifique! If this was an English language game I would be all in for this. Seems like just the kind of game the good Chaosium folks could do a knock up job of an English translation of, and although not a BRP system game, would fit in nicely with the Pendragon/Paladin range of games ... Hint Hint.
  4. apropos ... and touche' ... 😛
  5. Haha ... I get it! ... “For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently” (Romans 8:24-25) ... essentially: Stop asking, you'll get it when you get it ... whenever that may be. Maybe more appropriate would be Dante': “Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here” 😛
  6. After reading a post on the other thread regarding the updated record sheets, which stated the 1920s - Standard Cthulhu record sheet files were 14mb, as opposed to ~3mb for all the rest. I'm finding that the 1920s - Standard Cthulhu record sheet files that I downloaded are only ~600kb files(?!?) ... I believe somebody several overcompensated for the size when reducing those files to match the size of the others.
  7. @MOB @Mike M... Just downloaded all of the new record sheets. I like them ... One point of concern, the 1920s - Standard Cthulhu sheets are both at very low resolution, so much so that they appear blurry and/or have digital artifacting present. All of the rest of the sheets are fine as far as their resolution goes.
  8. @Rick Meints Is the original Keepers Screen going to be included in the KS as well? It seems I recall seeing it pictured amongst the items shown in the initial pics you posted that were hinting at this release, but I do no see it shown amongst the goodies now.
  9. Time for my semi-annual request for a Credo! update ... any movement towards a release/Kickstarter/anything? Rick Meints stated above, almost two years ago, it was finished and ready for printing. It must still be sitting on a shelf somewhere gathering dust. What a shame.
  10. Hi Rick ... I don't think I've seen this addressed yet in any of the announcements or in this forum thread, so I was wondering ... will all the books in the CoC Classic reprint material in the Kickstarter be re-typeset/laidout in the same fashion as all of the wonderful Runequest Classic material you released? I love what you guys did with the Runequest Classic material and would love to see the same approach with this CoC Classic stuff. Thanks & Cheers! Don
  11. Hey Chaosium Intelligentsia! ... Time for my, what now seems to be, annual request for a Credo! update. Last post from MOB, a year ago, said 'Red: Thread of Fate' then Credo (KS?) ... 'R:ToF' has been out awhile ... so, Credo! soon? ... Rick M. stated it was ready for the printer a year and a quarter ago: Any news/update will be appreciated ... Thanks gang! p.s. Please don't let the update be that it's been cancelled .... extreme disappointment will follow if so
  12. Found this on the FBooks .... Surprised there was no post here about it .... Now there is. He's looking for playtesters. https://www.facebook.com/groups/basicroleplaying/permalink/10157831241765662/
  13. I like the new way the Greater Mythos deities/entities are presented in the new MM Vol.II, I think you should stick with it ... (interestingly, I just finished watching one of the "Sandy of Cthulhu" YouTube webisodes ... here ... and it sounds like the way you've presented the Greater Mythos beings is Sandy's preferred way as well (around 9:43) ... go figure) ... Though now there are statistical and presentation differences between the Greater beings as presented in the MM Vol.II and the Core Rulebook, and I was wondering if future printings of the Core Rulebook would be changed to adopt the presentation as in the MM Vol.II.
  14. Thanks so much Chaosium! ... Have been slowly digesting the two volumes of the new 'Malleus Monstrorum', and I'm very happy with what I'm seeing, cannot wait to have these physically in my hands, they'll be gorgeous ... I like the route Chaosium went with the updating/presentation of the "stat blocks" for the Greater Mythos creatures/deities and such in Vol. II., but it begs the question ... Will the entries for the Greater Mythos entities presented in the Keepers Core book be updated to the same presentation as 'Malleus Monstrorum's' in future printings, or will the traditional "stat block" presentation remain? It would be nice if there was continuity among the books.
  15. Hey there good Chaosium folks ... Rick last posted in August that the new Credo was finished and ready for printing ... Are you any further in the process now that it's mid-October? Champing at the bit for this ... Also, are you still going to Kickstart it? Thanks, Don
  16. Name: Don Country: U.S. Location: Eastern Iowa (Waterloo/Cedar Falls) I've been a CoC player since Middle School (I'm early 50's now), and have been both player and Keeper during that time. Have played on and off over the years, but CoC is currently one of my groups "in rotation" games. Hit me up if you're local and may be interested in playing sometime. Currently interested in CoC Modern and Down Darker Trails scenarios/games.
  17. Hi all ... A buddy and me are contemplating running Pagan Publishing's 'Grace Under Pressure' at Gary Con XII next March, and I was hoping to get some feedback from members of the community that may have ran this at a Con before. Looking for suggestions, pitfalls, and general advice for doing this. I'm planning on running it with 7th Edition, and we've already updated all the pre-gen PC's and have made notes on the various system related aspects of the scenario to bring it up to 7th Edition parameters. As an aside ... When I attended Gary Con last year, I noticed there were several Official CoC events that took place in private suites as opposed to the general gaming area in the Forum area (those of you that have attended GC should know what I referring to) ... I was wondering if anyone knows how those private suite games were able to reserve those suites for running the games? It would greatly enhance the experience if I were able to have such a space to run GuP, as opposed to a large, loud, brightly lit area such as the forum. Thanks
  18. This should be placed under the "I. Classic Call of Cthulhu and its near-variants:" section under "Call of Cthulhu" H.P. Lovecraft's Dreamlands - Set in H.P Lovecraft's Dreamlands, where investigators travel down the seven hundred steps, through the Gates of Deeper Slumber, and into the realm of dreams. Essential Rulebook(s): H.P. Lovecraft's Dreamlands
  19. Not the buff/cream version pictured in the Handbook ... but same style design ... https://www.amazon.com/Workshop-Call-Cthulhu-Black-Green/dp/B001G4OV9U/ref=pd_sbs_21_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001G4OV9U&pd_rd_r=75e9b51b-1071-11e9-9c0c-39b1bee6d5bb&pd_rd_w=CiSsb&pd_rd_wg=rI3Q5&pf_rd_p=7d5d9c3c-5e01-44ac-97fd-261afd40b865&pf_rd_r=PYSF70MFNE95QXY0WXN5&psc=1&refRID=PYSF70MFNE95QXY0WXN5 ... Credo

I seem to recall Rick Meints mentioning at some point that Credo was slated for a reboot. Any word/news on this oh Chaosium intelligentsia? One of my favorite Chaosium games ever ... heck, one of my favorite card/boardgames ever.
  21. Not precisely what you'd been looking for (as I see this post/request is a few months old now ... but ...) ... Are you aware of this wonderful book ... https://www.chaosium.com/mysteries-of-the-raj-pdf/
  22. I'm very impressed so far ... 'Down DarkerTrails' coupled with 'Devil's Gulch' and the two BRP 'Aces High' books gives me a huge CoC Old West toolbox to terrorize my players with ... Can't wait for the two follow-up releases!
  23. https://www.chaosium.com/down-darker-trails-pdf/ I've known about this for a long time, and now it's finally arrived. ... and I absolutely love it! ... Another stellar Kevin Ross CoC product.
  24. Thanks for clearing that up for me Folks! ... Perhaps when Rick and Co. re-laid out the supplements for inclusion in the B&B book they could have added an editorial note stating that "Yes!, there should be tables here, but we have not included them due to redundancy". Or, better yet, simply removed the instructional text that alluded to the tables from the original 'Plunder' book. Oh well. Sorry for the confusion .. and Thanks.
  25. Thanks for the reply. But ... it looks like the table for Treasure Factors in the RQII rulebook is a straight %roll table, whereas the procedure described in the Intro to the 'Plunder' section of the B&B book mentions rolling d8's and cross-referencing on different tables. I do not have a copy of the original 'Plunder' supplement, but I seem to recall (from looking through that book ages ago) that the first half of the book were these tables I'm looking for, and are described in the B&B 'Plunder' section introduction. These tables seem to have not been included in the reprint.
