  1. This sounds pretty kool. I also very much enjoyed GURPS Ice Age and this looks like it will be a lot like it.
  2. Hola, I too have been trying to make ranged weapons more realistic in all the games that I play, and most recently in RQ6. (That was my post on the RQ6 forum that you commented in.) I pretty much agree 100% with all your comments on the topic, but I want a fairly simple way to implement it. (Your combat style idea should work very well as a start.) The range chart looks pretty good too, but seems like it may add a bit more complication to a system that's already pretty involved. I may try it anyway, but I hope to come up with something a bit less charty. (yes I made up that word.)
  3. This looks pretty darn good and not too complicated or involved. Thanks for sharing.
  4. I will have to look into grabbing this. Is there any chance that you will be doing any of your other products under the RQ6 license. I am mostly wondering about Rome which I think would be excellent with RQ6. I know it can be run in RQ6 pretty easily without a new version, but I am lazy and prefer you to do all the work. :}
  5. I have long been a proponent of advantage/disadvantage systems and this have not really embraced BRP or any of its derivatives in the past, but I slowly coming to the conclusion that such systems can become very unbalanced pretty quickly, and balance is one of my main pet peeves in gaming. I am going to give BRP a fair shake in the near future.
  6. Are there any BRP products with a more realistic/ simulationist approach to combat rounds and movement. While 12 second rounds seem ok (although still too long in my opinion) for fantasy, they just make little sense to me for modern/future games. I know I could just half or quarter each, I wonder if that would throw off other aspects of the game? I am also interested in whether there are any ad/disad systems in place in any BRP products? Thanks.
  7. I prefer a bit tighter game, normally no more then 4 PC's. Much easier to keep under control and keep all players involved. If they are experienced with the game and mature [not refering to age ], I could see stretching that # to 6.
