  1. Has anyone thought of using Cthulhu Godlike for Generic, gritty/street-level supers or people with powers for Mythras? It's a port of the Wild Talents power generation system. With some work by someone who knew what they were doing it could work, I think.
  2. I also want paper copies of pulp Cthulhu :-)
  3. When will the 7th Ed Keeper print edition be available?
  4. Sounds great. I just can't stand arguing about Declarations and Aspects, so I'm not a big fan of Fate though I agree both it and HeroQuest II are the best systems for playing superheroes with widely different levels of powers. However, it would be cool to see genre packs that support Supernaturals a la WoD, after the Vampire Wars, Dresden Files, along with "people with powers but not really superheroes."
  5. I e-edited my post to take out that I said owned Revolution literally seconds after I posted it (It was a mistype). I don't remember asking if D100 was out yet and I know it's not out. No one has any obligation to provide anything I want. I recently asked if D100 would have stuff for low level supers/people with powers and was told by you that I should play HeroQuest 2 or Marvel Supers instead. That's fine, but the BRP book did include stuff for low level supers / people with powers /wod stuff.
  6. Nope, don't need it to be able to do High-Level Supers - that's completely it's own game and I get that. However, people w/ cool powers I would like. I'd love to be able to convert stuff from Chronicles / World of Darkness.
  7. It's too bad about not supporting at least street level supers. I'm no fan of Heroquest, and Superworld is pretty old, Marvel Superheroes is a d100 system.
  8. I own Delta Green, but isn't really a generic system - it's great, but it's built for playing Delta Green. If I want to run a very different setting, or World of Darkness or something, I'd have to build it myself. Is Revolution D100 out yet?
  9. That sounds great. I have no idea what Skaerune is.
  10. ReignDragonSMH are you making a generic system?
  11. Hi Laurence. Is there some kind of playtester or other group for supporting Mythras development?

  12. That's perfect. Please finish this so I can give you my money. I will playtest if you need help. FYI, if you need ideas, I will need Urban Fantasy / Horror (e.g., running a Dresden Files or World of Darkness style game) Science Fiction (e.g., running a Firefly or W40K style game) Street Level Superheroes (e.g., running an Agents of Shield style game). I've already purchased RQ6, Luther Arkwright, and Mythras Imperative (the new thing you put out)
  13. Yea, that's how I feel too. However, neither Delta Green or Revolution D100, which I both own, hit the sweet spot of the BGB.
  14. What, if anything, is on the horizon for a generic BRP-based system? Like the BRP Gold Book but actively supported? Chaosium is supposed to be coming up with an "Essentials", but I don't know how broadly generic that will be or when it will come out Mythras is supposed to be generic, but I don't know if they plan to expand it to make it generic or leave that up to third parties (e.g, Superhero module, SciFi module) So it doesn't seem like there's a viable replacement for BRP Gold on the horizon. I know you can cobble your own together, but I often enjoy having people that know what they are doing do that for me and then I'll just fiddle with bits on the side.
  15. Has anyone ported Unknown Armies Madness Meters to a BRP system (any). I know Nemisis ports them to One Roll Engine.
  16. Can you send it to me furashgary at gmail.com? Thanks!
  17. I like the Chronicles of Darkness (formerly God Machine, formerly New World of Darkness) settings, but I'm not thrilled with the mechanics. It seems like what you would need to convert this stuff to a BRP family system would be:1. rules for static magic (spells);2. rules for free form magic;3. rules for lots of fiddly powers;4. rules for how to acquire "juice" for said fiddly powers;5. rules for some sort of corruption / virtue / vice / humanity / sanity mechanic;6. rules for ephemeral / spirit / ghost things, including summoning7. rules for some kind of other dimension (astral, etc.)After the Vampire Wars would probably be the best base.Where would be your favorite place to get those from?My initial thoughts:1. rules for static magic (spells)Enlightened Magic?Mythras? The Laundry?2. rules for free form magic;no idea3. rules for lots of fiddly powers;not sure. BRP Gold has psychic and super powers. Maybe?4. rules for how to acquire "juice" for said fiddly powers;not sure. e.g., vampires drink blood, Geists eat ghosts5. rules for some sort of corruption / virtue / vice / humanity / sanity mechanic;Humans, Hunters, - CoC, Delta Green (new)Not sure what you'd use for other splats 6. rules for ephemeral / spirit / ghost things, including summoningMythrasThat BRP Magic book that isn't Enlighened Magic but is like Stormbringer's magic system7. rules for some kind of other dimension (astral, etc.)no idea
  18. Yea you just end up in this endless weird escalation rodeo OR you have to enjoy conflict between the GM and players. Just my opinion. You're welcome to enjoy stuff I don't . I can believe declaration style mechanics work for some people, just not me or anyone I play with. it's not that we don't get it, it's that it doesn't work for us, which is why we like stuff like BRP, savage worlds, etc.
