  1. In the sorcery rule, there is many spell handling spirits Summon (species) : If the sorcerer want to summon an animal spirit to get a spell, does he need to know 'summon trout spirit' or a more generic 'summon animal spirit'? Same question for Dominate (spirit). Is it dominate trout spirit or dominate animal spirit

    New Rune Spell

But at least we have a general value of the spell teaching. Thanks for the info
  3. It should be in the book... But I looked many times and got lost.. How much should an initiate give to get a new rune spell? And can they get it anytime? Or only during holy days?
  4. Yes but at least I have a 'value' of each relative spell : which one is a big or a small shrubbery
  5. Will shaman charge the same price as temples?

    Runes of Selarn

Hi A simple question : what could be the runes of Selarn (Afadjanni / Dorradi thief god)? Darkness - Disorder? Any other idea?
  7. IN RQG, there is a precise list of languages and relations with other languages in Dragon Pass. In the GtG, for each culture, they describe the languages spoken. But they are not as precise as in the rule book. For instance, in Fonrit, Afadjanni and Kareeshtu are described as 'It is related to Afadjanni and Banamban, although the languages are not mutually intelligible.' Does it mean than if you speak Kareeshtu, you cannot speak a work of the other language? Is it 1/10? 1/5? 1/2? In the western culture, they say ' Malki: spoken by the Malkioni of Umathela. Closely related to Seshnegi.'. Closely related, is it 1/2, 1/5 or 1/10?
  8. Are there myth about Seseine and Uleria?
  9. Jeff, you speak about the 2 brothers (gods that are worshiped by the Wolf Pirates). never hear of them...
  10. Ok, except the Naggan desert (it was my far South, thousand Km from Fonrit, Umathela, ...)
  11. I have read that Asrelia had special snakes, living in marshes, called Oolings. Any other info on them?
  12. In Pamaltela, the Chaos is far less present than in the North. No armies of Broos, scorpion men, Walktapuses, Gorps, ... (except in the far sourth) Why aren't there no priests of Chaos (Thed, Malia, ... You name them) traveling south and starting to build temples, create broos, spread the Chaos there? Whty are they so attached to the place where they have a strong resistance (Storm bull, ZZ, Orlanth,...)?

    Magic in Fonrit

Humakt, I see. But ZZ??? Any Uz there?
  14. Thanks a lot Jeff for this. Very interesting. Are all Wolf pirates now in the North (Genertela)? No more Wolf pirate in Pamaltela? I can easily imagine that during his tour around Homeward Ocean, some ships have stayed and plunder the Southern coasts. Is there a relationship between Harrek and the Violet mer-king of the Dashomo Sea?

    Magic in Fonrit

Whouaw, I like to ask questions on the forum... Always good info and ideas for my campagne But I come back to the topic questions (RQG) : If my player are to meet a group of Fonrit adversary (they are in Nikosdros, and there are a lot of Fonritians), should I make then initiate of Ehilm/Worlath with spells and magic same as Orlanth/Yelm (from the RQG book). For a game play perspective I mean
  16. OK, but it is not a main cult. No great temple of Yelm in the Forest

    Magic in Fonrit

Without wanting to be Godlearnist, but how can they worship god of Chaos and at the same time Yelm and orlanth (as Sun and Storm gods)?
  18. Really? Yelmalio, but Yelm?
  19. Manu

    Magic in Fonrit

There is this Are they Sun worshippers or Sorcerers? Do they use rune magic or Sorcery? Also, I thought they worshipped Ikadz, a Chaotic God. How can this be with Ehilm and Worlath?
  20. OK, thanks. Varama in Fonrit and Doraddi.
  21. I've been playing on Umathela a bit (10 game sessions so far...). And suddently, after meeting Sedalpists, Orlanthi and Aldryami, I wonrderd : Where are the Yelmists? Yelm is a pretty important God. And someone, somewhere should worship him. But who? I don't remember in the Guide having see any reference of Yelm in the South.
  22. I plan to send my player to Fonrit (or at least to meet regularly with Fonritians). On the role play side, no problem. There is plenty of information in the Guide. But if I want to plan a more physical/muscular interaction, I have no idea what kind of magic they could have. I imagine some spirit magic. But as for Rune magic???
  23. Are Orlanthi of the North using Woad, and those of the South (Ulmathela) using Indigofera Tinctoria (Indigo tree)? It could make sense

    Learning to Read

Thanks Gods it takes a long time to learn and a lot of money. I hope some of them will just learn the basics (just in case the scribe is not around) and concentrate on other skills. And also, writing is just one way of written communication. Like in Churchs, drawings can be clear enough to pass a message to anyone connected to the cult (or at least from an associated cult) : Warning, welcome messages, heroes deeds can be painted on wall, furniture, even books. And a Cult Lore (if religious) or Customs (if mundane) should be enough to understand the message. But finding old book on some secret society/cult will only be for scribes.
  25. My group of players all want to learn to read. They feel they miss something not being able to read simple texts (and even maybe later books). They came across an old library with many scrolls and books. And only the scribe can read them. Should I allow it (I know that MGMV)?
