  1. "A Fire in the Darkness" is also covered in Session 5 and Session 6 of the RuneQuest Starter Set stream. Session 4 covers mainly the downtime between "A Rough Landing" and "A Fire in the Darkness", but also sets up the scenery for the latter adventure (roughly from 1:30:00).
  2. Also in the Journal of Runic Studies, Issue 12, @lordabduldid an annotation of the battle rules as used in the Battle of Queens episode of the White Bull campaign.
  3. I guess, you think of this part (Cults of Prax, Classic reprint, p.66): So it's about a ghost, not a wraith, and this ghost is called an undead. But I guess, that this is just an in-world simplification/generalisation. Rules-wise neither a ghost nor a wraith are undead as both have POW.
  4. Not only in RQ2 but also in RuneQuest:Roleplaying in Glorantha. From the Bestiary, p.159: (emphasis is from me)
  5. He did already (at least for the first parts):
  6. also see the latest entry in Chaosium's blog ...
  7. Three parts? Ooops ... ๐Ÿ˜‰ But in fact, as always, it's a great issue!
  8. Regarding Weapons & Equipment see Whatever that means ... ๐Ÿ˜‰ Otherwise see Jeff's comment above:
  9. I've thought always the name is SnowWhite ... (Sorry, couldn't resist ... ๐Ÿ˜‰)
  10. I think, this part of the Dragon Pass master map displaying Whitewall and Derensev, i.e. Southern Sartar, may be part of the upcoming Sartar book/box. (But I could well be wrong here.)

So happy birthday to you! And I would support that wish! So even if there are no plans to sell these books (The Roots of Glorantha tomes and the GreGanth Atlas) as PDFs, I would like to hear, if there is a chance for selling them in printed form again ...
  12. Not at all. After surrendering in 1613 at the end of Starbrow's Rebellion Kallyr went into exile to King Broyan in Whitewall/Heortland. She participates in the Heroquest, which returns the Sky Boat in 1624. After the Dragonrise in 1625 she raises the tribes and defeats the Lunar Army in the Battle at Dangerford. She is killed in the Battle of Queens in 1626. On the other hand the other guy in the illustration, King Hofstaring Treeleaper, refused to surrender, and so he was hit by strange Lunar magic and drawn into a Lunar hell ...
  13. Given what Shannon Appelcline has mentioned regarding his upcoming Elf Pack this seems to be a valid assumption:
  14. @Jason DFirst time I've heard about that. Do you care about giving some more information?
  15. Yes, that's quite probable. The official German RuneQuest version is available since November 2020, with the final version available since February/March 2021. I'm pretty sure, we worked on German terms for your spreadsheet much earlier:
  16. Ok, off-hand is translated in the German Runequest version as "nicht-dominante Hand" (non-dominant hand) or "andere Hand". So matching abbreviations could be NDH or AH ...
  17. If I've applied changes to weapon names, which have been introduced with the RuneQuest:Roleplaying in Glorantha core rules, then I've changed them to the names, that are used now in the recently released German version RuneQuest:Rollenspiel in Glorantha (e.g. Greatsword is translated as Schlachtschwert - not necessarily the best translations, but the official ones).
  18. I've worked through @PhilHibbs's approach to a German translation and changed translations, which seemed wrong from my perspective either with a (hopefully) more correct translation or with the existing translation from the German version of RuneQuest:Roleplaying in Glorantha (where not yet correct already). I've also used @Joerg's review of my first proposal (thanks for that!) to change some of my original translations, when I thought. that Jรถrg's proposal may be more correct. But similar to him I'm not an expert on German terms for ancient weaponry, and this is quite a difficult topic, so you have to take that with a grain of salt. Changes to the original translation proposal have been marked in red. I did not really understand, what the entries starting with OH (e.g. OH Broadsword), so I'm not sure how to transfer them correctly into German ...
  19. For many entries in the weapon tables the Damage column uses "+db" as an additional value for the respective damage calculation. My guess is, that "+db" is meant to adding the respective damage bonus, but this is nowhere explained (as far as I can say) and may be confusing, especially for new gamers.
  20. In fact, according to the description, it is a light crossbow, which does use stones instead of bolts. So there are some similarities the "Balester", but I'm not sure, if it is really the same.
  21. p.65: Falx According to all sources, that I have checked so far, a Falx seems to be kind of a slashing weapon in the form of a sickle or scythe, not pole weapon with an axe blade. Are you sure the naming is correct?
  22. p.69: the illustration for the Boot Blade does not at all match its description in the text.
