You should also look into The Mythos Expeditions from Pelgrane.

The Midnight Mascarade from Cult of Chaos is easy to insert and The Island of Madness from Repository.

I've run MoN for my wife. She played a criminal character with two pulp talents. I had to use Pulp Rules and with her, there were two NPCs, You can call them Mooks. So some of the Sanity blasting encounters were first shown to those two. I didn't change many fights, but you should know that I run it based on the first Polish Edition from the 90s, so there were many places in this text that I as a Keeper need to fill. So it was easier to do that.  

I was running MON with Pulp Rules for one player. It was only solution for not having new character each and every new location on the road.

Maybe You can pick up Cults from Masks of Nyarlathotep? And Chapel of Contemplation (?) from The Hunting?

There is one scenario in Starter Set for one on one game. @John Hook wrote couple of this scenarios also. One is on the Miskatonic Repository. 

Once somebody said something about World War Cthulhu but during World War One - maybe now we wil received something more in that period, not just only No man's land...

I know what You mean, but this game is so difficult for player characters that couple of point here and there is not making any difference.

As always this is Your game and in the end You got the last word on it.

I think that they are both. You choose to allocate bonus points in 8 skill You choose (page 20) or take one set from the list from page 27 and allocate them between those skills. Or You can build new profession based on that list - page 27 also. Hope this will help and not cloud this subject even more.

They are updating Countdown and Eyes Only also. But I do not know if both of these books will be as stretch goals in the same Kickstarter.

There are some d20 stats and on the back one or two chapters about d20 NPCs and conversions notes. I think that's it.

John Hook have another four scenarios for one Keeper and one Player under His belt. But sadly they were part of Age of Cthulhu IX kickstarter, and now they are nowhere to be found. Sadly. I've got them, I've run them and they are superb. 

For me both are greate for bigger groups. But there is no campaign for one player. I've run Masks of Nyarlathothep with Pulp Cthulhu rules for one player. I've learn a lot about such a big campaign from this experience. But it was a pain to scale everything down for just one player and too big in story for one player to remember and make notes. So something smaller but with glob trotting. Alone Against The Dark has some greate places inside. But it is for one player. Cold Fire Within and Two Headed Serpent are on my list of campaigns I want to run in future also but for a larger groups.

Yes @stadi, but with more globe trotting than Cold Fire Within and with good bunch of  helpfull NPCs, with lots of maps. Yes, Yes! I can imagine something like that.
