  1. IIRC, this was in Wyrms footnotes; done by Dave Hargrave (of Arduin fame). There were also write-ups for a few other WBRM characters.
  2. In one of the Jonstown Compendium books - I think it is actually Company of the Dragon, although it may have been the earlier one -- has a nice system for humans using draconic magic.
  3. I assume that you have read Revealed Mythologies? But no references to Heler, that I recall.
  4. But there may be a dwarven heresy, Ceramicism, that believes that clay dwarves can be improved and perfected (all clay dwarves, as opposed to merely the few who become diamond dwarves).
  5. I'm afraid that my Pavis has always been just a dusty border town with no Grand Plan. However, if there were a Grand Plan, it would have something to do with the dragonewts. After all, the Dragonewts Dream was a continent-wide event, but the only tangible effect that I know of is that Pavis was re-opened. Maybe they're planning to restart their war with the giants?
  6. "Rasputin Must Die!" One of my favorite titles for an adventure. I agree that there are no published adventures with such a link. That being said, it wouldn't be much of a chore to adapt RQ3 Vikings or Land of Ninja, both of which are excellent. (Or for Heroquest Questworlds, there is Mythic Russia).
  7. IIRC, each time the Red Emperor "dies," he is recreated by the Egi on the moon. But when Sheng invaded the moon, he killed some of the Egi (and presumably new ones were chosen), so after that the Red Emperors were never exactly the same person.
  8. I understand that you may also encounter him on various forums, but that may just be a rumor.
  9. I could have sworn there was a rule somewhere that riders needed a mount that was 10 Siz bigger (i.e., a size 19 person would need a size 29 mount). Is that my imagination?
  10. ...Rock Dwarfs when thinking about Flintnail Completely off topic, but it never occurred to me before -- if Flintnail is rock, then he can't be the Dwarf of Dragon Pass (who is a Quicksilver mostali IIRC).
  11. Have you looked at the Stafford Library - particularly The Glorious Reascent of Yelm and The Fortunate Succession? Those cover the Dara Happan view in detail. Revealed Mythologies does not really explain the Eastern view, which creates its own issues (and discussion threads).
  12. "I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand, Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed; And on the pedestal, these words appear: My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
  13. Even if you don't play Heroquest Questworlds, the two Gathering Storm books are well worth picking up, and contain a lot of information on the Telmori.
  14. That is my memory as well. An animist integrated spirits in HW. This was replaced by spirit magic charms in HQ.
  15. That took me a minute, Akhorahil.
  16. Does it suggest treatments for anatidaephobia? (I just learned a new word).
  17. The Godlearners as a collective had powers beyond that of any superhero.
  18. Sir, my friend Onar Onari would like to introduce you to Bladger, his ax.
  19. IIRC, the Servants of the Almighty Dragons are from Masters of Luck and Death, a Heroquest supplement.
  20. I immediately cast countermagic to block your foul Mostali sorcery!
  21. Zzabur will presumably return when Brithos reappears. At the Brithini will say that he has.
  22. Why would anyone voluntarily leave wonderhome to come back to the hurtplace?
  23. I have to disagree. I ran it many years ago, the players were low rune level, and it was easily the most memorable adventure of the campaign. But everyone's style is different, of course. Responding to the original post, the scenario is combat-oriented of course. If you want to increase the role-playing, you might modify or expand the second stage, when the characters are wandering about the cradle.
