The physical book IS available for order from them. The copy that I received was Print on Demand, which seems to be the route that they took to get it published. I do not know if it can be ordered from sources other than Aeon Games.

The physical book was not scrapped. Aeon games created a pre-order process. Their web site suggests the physical book is in stock, though I have not yet received the copy that I pre-ordered last fall.
I enjoyed the seven novels on which this game is based.

It would be interesting to see if you could use some of the stuff from the Mythras Classic Fantasy version with OQ to run a game.
Sure you can. The roots, the fundamentals of the systems are the same. Some tweeking will probably be necessary, but not much. You can get the free pdf of Mythras Imperative to get an idea about how Mythras differs from Openquest. In fact, Mythras Imperative is, if I recall correctly, sufficient to get you going with Mythras Classic Fantasy.

A First Look At ... Frostbyte Books' M-Space, Part 5

A very good way to make M-Space seem less dense is to first read the Traveller 5.10 books. After them, anything else will seem like a breeze to read and grok. I do not say that to put T5.10 down. I happen to like those rules. I also like M-Space as a more manageable set of rules for those who are not wanting to devote lots of time to read, digest, and use Mr. Miller's latest incarnation of Traveller. I am glad that there are so many different rules sets for the myriad of personal preferences.
