where are the classic 'starter' scenarios?
sverbridge replied to theWoozle's topic in Call of Cthulhu
The Haunting is included in the quick start rules. -
Name: Steve Country: USA City/State: Rochester, NY (Actually I live about 35 minutes East of Rochester in a small town, Palmyra) I started playing/GMing CoC with the 3rd edition, stopped playing for a bunch of years, and started up again with the release of 7th edition. Nothing regular at the moment.

Call of Cthulhu - The Official Video Game - First Trailer
sverbridge replied to MOB's topic in Call of Cthulhu
This looks really cool, can't wait to play. I just bought the old CoC games on GOG.com -
I got my slipcase yesterday and just wow, totally impressed. Not only was it the best packaging I have ever seen, but the slipcase, the books, and the GM Screen are way beyond my expectations. It was definitely worth every penny I spent. I cannot wait to start running the Time to Harvest story. Thank you.

Well, you'll get yours before I get mine. I am still waiting for the email. Perhaps I'll get mine soon.... *** Update. I got my email yesterday saying it was shipped out June 2, so I should get my order some time next week then I can start running A Time to Harvest.

I contacted Dustin this past week and he told me that my shipment would probably ship out at the end of the month or so. I ordered mine and it was paid for on April 4. This is a U.S. shipment to Rochester, NY and the shipping company is swamped so it is taking a bit longer than expected. I just got worried because my digital receipt at the Backerkit site said it was already shipped and had been that way for 3 weeks with no email which was why I emailed Dustin. Hopefully this may help some people who are wondering about their shipment. Also this pre-order was for the slipcase containing the rulebook, handbook, and the GM screen. i don't know if that makes a difference or not. I have the PDFs, but some of my players do not care for reading PDFs on their computer, so I am waiting for the hard copies so I can run A Time to Harvest. I don't want to spend the money to get the PDFs printed out and bound at Staples or the like, that is really expensive.

Bring them in for questioning, scare the crap out of them, and let them go with a "we'll be watching you" type thing, unless of course they somehow incriminate themselves and then it is game over. Or you could have them in for questioning, get ready to lock them up, and then it is a all hands on deck for the police as all hell breaks loose on the MU campus and everyone in the force heads over there ASAP, perhaps forgetting to lock the jail cell, or leave the keys in reach, something like that...

or it could be something like " Professor Learmonth, look at this odd rock we found in the middle of a crater. " Personally, I am going with it being a slip up by the mi-go agents.- 17 replies

Resources and Brainstorming for a Seventies Campaign
sverbridge replied to Cowboy Duck's topic in Call of Cthulhu
I think a lot of the movies were very depressing or at the very least had sad/bad endings for the characters in them. Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, the Hospital, Electric Glide in Blue, Love Story, etc...I could go on but it was definitely not a good time to be the protagonist Don't forget Rod Serling's Night Gallery was also on in the early 70's. It was the beginning of the black exploitation films too. I found this while doing a quick look at some stuff. http://www.welcometothe70s.com/70sculture.html Now that you have brought it up, the 70's could be an interesting time for a CoC adventure/campaign. -

Thanks for the work up, JonHook, I plan on using this..... -
They should send you a code that can be applied at RPGNow once they charge your credit card. that's how it worked for me. I thought the link I was talking about the other day was for the books, sorry I failed my perception roll.

If you saved your email receipt after placing your online order, there is a place you can click in that email that will take you to the backerkit website receipt and there is a download place there for the PDFs.
