  1. I'm double-checking to see that the webstore has the newest versions of the .pdfs.
  2. This is the most affirmative post I've seen in months.
  3. IIRC the hardcover (2010) came after the paperback version (2008). There are no substantial changes, though. Just some minor typos and layout adjustments.
  4. Also, the earlier edition of the Malleus Monstrorum is what I tend to use when I need a creature stat block not found in the BRP rules.
  5. It's the same, but I think just with the copyright renewed.
  6. I did not know this thread was here. I'll try to jump in and reply to questions. Remind me by tagging me!
  7. I am informed that yes, the reprint covers will be of sturdier stuff.
  8. The . The .pdfs have been submitted for updating. I'll check on the person who does that.
  9. I've been updating it a bit. I realize I left some stuff off, as it came through channels other than this topic thread. I don't have any control over the paper quality, as that's utterly outside my control.
  10. Here's the current .pdf of corrections. Note that this is not every typo or grammatical/consistency error. These are just the fixes for things that might hinder gameplay in some fashion or cause some confusion. Please let me know if you see anything still incorrect. RQ Starter Set Corrections.pdf
  11. Thanks for all the feedback. Everything up to 1/22/22 that was implementable has been implemented and the files have been sent to the printer for a reprint. In some cases, all I could do is note the suggestion and move on. I have prepared a .pdf of game-related corrections and will be posting it here in the next few days.
  12. And with this, I'm closing and locking this thread. The book is off to the printers and any further edits will happen later in the .pdf. As they say, perfect is the enemy of done.
  13. Negative, up to triple the location's hit point total. (See pages 147-149 of the RQ rulebook.) Yes, unless the hit location has been severed or otherwise destroyed. See page 149, as above.
  14. In fact, we've got Heortland/Hendrikiland complete and just waiting for editing. Grazelands was underway but the author had some life issues and we'll have to see what can be done to get it moving again. Finally, we have Prax and Esrolia books in the works and I just issued a contract for Lunar Tarsh. Kralorela is done but needs some editing and a bit more work to get it framed in context with the rest of the game line, as it was done quite early.
  15. I don't recognize them either. My guess is that they originally appeared in Dragon Magazine.
  16. The map is correct, the text has been adjusted.
  17. Keep in mind that Harmast has a Broadsword skill of 100%. His Ride skill is 40%. When he wants to fight on horse/zebra-back, his combat skill is limited to his Ride skill. If I were playing him, I would dismount. Vishi's Ride skill was a copy-paste error during layout (these folios went through a lot of iterations), and should be 65%.
  18. The revised sourcebook is up and the improvement costs/upkeep costs have been revised.
  19. Adventurers begin much more powerful, and advance somewhat slower. However, they also get the advantage of free experience checks in up to four cult and professional skills to check for experience, meaning experience checks for skills they may not have even used. Furthermore, they begin knowing a fairly robust common knowledge Rune spells and a handful specific to their cult. Like Pendragon, adventures are assumed to occur on a less frequent basis. The Gamemaster Sourcebook will address campaign pacing. If you want to do more frequent experience checks, by all means do whatever makes you and your players happy. No, they don't. At any time during play, however, the player can simply announce this new passion, at a starting value of 60%. We gave it a starting value because it is a common one for adventurers to have. If an adventurer doesn't want to have Honor, they can simply cross it off their sheet.
  20. I would like to urge readers to keep in mind that trying to reverse-engineer a functional economic model out of these prices is not the point of this sourcebook. The prices are examples, etc. and can be either used as-is, modified, or ignored entirely. Adventurer starting incomes from the core rules, as well, are for adventurers, and do not represent a Dragon Pass-wide standard for incomes.
