A question for French members: is Enfants de la Flamme (the French Dundealos campaign for RQG) already out of stock?

I was watching closely the site of Black Book editions online shop but as soon as I spotted it it was already exhausted...

    https://www.black-book-editions.fr/produit.php?id=13289

Do you know of any other venue where it could be on sale?

    Thanks!

Now it's out : Boutique Française

  2. All birds have a localisation table (p. 10). The bestiary gives only the localisation for the giant vrok so it's missing for the dwarf vrok. We need a second printing with the localisation of the vrok hawk! 🤡

Again I think that it's better to used the hawk from the gateway bestiary : armor point 0 with the localisation table from RqG bestiary p. 10

  3. You have rules for previous experience p. 118.

I use Soloquest with RQG specially Dreamquest to introduce combat rules for new player. I tried SQ1 and SQ2 with Harmast who died in scorpion Hall. Later with Vistor to finish the hall. It took him 3 seasons to succeed!

    Hi,

A question about knockback attacks in RQ-Glorantha (p.224): Can knockback attacks be parried or dodged, and if so, what effect does the parry or dodge have on the attack?

For example, if Urg rolls a successful knockback attack against Zort with his short spear and Zort successfully parries the attack, is Urg's spear subject to damage from the parry? If the spear is parried, does the knockback still take place?

    Thank you,

    Hi,

If it can help, may be you should use the table p. 199 and the rules for opposed rolls p. 142 in case of tie.

I think that was spirit spells as well in RQ3, you lost 1MP for a failed cast and all for a fumble

    From RQG GM Screen :

Spirit Magic:.... If the spell is not successful, no magic points are expended....

Rune Magic:....On a fumble, the spell fails and the Rune points are lost. If the roll is a critical, the spell costs no Rune points.

  6. Hello !
With the upcoming arrival of the French version of RQG, our Francophone community is having a lot of discussion around the issue of the heroic level.
I was wondering if Chaosium was considering carrying the Heroquest mastery system's (a system that I find very smart, simple and effective) to RQG ?

    Hi Charlie -

I (and most players) find that the RQ/BRP rules seem complex from the outside, but they're surprisingly intuitive once you're actually using them.

The GM Pack (soon in layout) has summaries and handouts for most core rules systems, to make things easier for players.

We're doing a series of videos explaining the game, the world, and the system specifically, and these might help you get onboard if it's still an open question.

Beyond the quality of the work, I am rather disappointed by the absence of long examples on the rules of combat. I would love to know the details of Vasana's fight against the broos and especially Joshar's move to protect Yanioth. With HQ:G no worries but with RQ:G the relationship between movement and action (being in the right place at the right time) is very blurry. It's very nice to make videos but downloadable pdf might be more convenient...If we have to wait for the GM Pack...let's wait
