  1. YAY! However...The Vigor spell contain the same text as is in RQ:RiG and not the corrected text from the errata... 😕 (it's the only bit I've checked so far)
  2. from the pdfs: main 7th ed handbook, p41 tribal member occupation skill points EDU x2 + (STR x2 or DEX x2) investigators handbook, p 91 tribal member occupation skill points EDU x2 + (STR x2 + DEX x2) i assume the main handbook is correct (tho i could see arguing for a tribal person earning more points in the few skills they do get...)
  3. did any one consider/try taking away the choice and making special effects a random result?
  4. The elemental rune diagram reminds me of something similar in Nephilim. I'm not home otherwise I could look it up. My experience with RQ combat is a little different than Jeff described, especially with experienced but not yet masters of combat or magic characters: it was more: hit/parry, hit/parry, hit/parry, hit/parry...hit/parry, hit/parry, hit/parry... otherwise, I like where this is going...
  5. I've pondered using stats to cap skill use...e.g. The max amount of your sword skill you could use in a combat would max at 5*STR (just an example). Even tho your skill might be much higher. Perhaps, one could then use the extra skill points like one could do with skills over 100 (split attacks, reduce opponents parry...) also, the cap could also affect skill experience and training progression. E.g. After reaching the cap, an exp gain would be limited to 1% or d3 or similar.
  6. as cover art, i don't like it at all. i suppose the art is trying to tell us that brp can handle all genres of rpg that it depicts, but it appears too retro (well, actually dated) to my eye. the title tells us that anyway. thinking more about it, does the art mean to imply that this system going to be about some wierd mish-mash of every genre into one game world (bleh)? sorry, just doesn't do it for me.
