I'm glad it's not set in a licensed setting... that leaves games less constricted to assumptions and fluff lawyers... reasons I would not want to run a Star Trek or Star Wars or LOTR campaign. Even though the book will have a setting I won't feel/get any grief for running off the rails with it. Are there any rules for space travel/space battles in it? If not is there some other method for hopping to other planets?

I'm not a fan of ads/disads either... What is the issue with just keeping the 'morphs' and such as equipment? I'm not up on the EP setting but it seems like they're an in-game resource that is paid for by other in-game resources. Like you said, 'property'. Is it because they become a part of the character and can't easily be taken away (similar to skills and powers?). Why can't the money/influence/atta-boys that are buying the 'morphs' suffice as the point-buy system for obtaining them? I must be missing something here...

I don't really believe BRP has that strong a following among the RPG.net crowd... but it's nice to see it making a relatively strong showing. Fate seems to be gaining on it but I suspect Fate is one of those systems that a lot more people read and talk about than ever get around to playing it... our group looked at it, thought it was kinda neat and all agreed there's no we were ever gonna game with it. Savage worlds would probably be out front if the OP hadn't neglected to list it... since it's currently one of the big darlings over there.

Nice review... I hope you can add a supplementary one once you get to try it out so we can hear how it goes. @Jack, I actually saw her perform live in a coffeehouse in Savannah, GA. There were a lot of jaws hitting the floor that night...
