Switzerland is digitizing a lot of their manuscripts (over 2000 so far) and there is some great art in there if you are looking for inspiration.
http://e-codices.ch/enIf there is not a kingdom of the bears among the fae, I will be very disappointed.

Are there any plans for a community content site for Pendragon once the new edition is out, similar to the Jonstown Compendium (RuneQuest) or the Miskatonic Repository (Call of Cthulhu)?
Or should such concepts be sent in as "Other RPG" submissions directly to Chaosium?
I've got a new idea for a Pendragon adventure that I'm working on.
thanks!

In just one week, Bayt al Azif 3 got Silver Best Seller level sales! Plus we got 5 star reviews from two people:
"This is the first issue I've picked up, but I will definitely go back and get the first two once I finish this. It's a very strong magazine!"
"...a great Mythos Magazine for both new and veteran players/Keepers."
Thanks Evan and Bridgett for your reviews! If you love Bayt al Azif, posting a rating and/or review really means a lot to all of the creators, and helps raise our profile online. We really appreciate it!

Ah, I think I was assuming Moon Design had taken over Chaosium rather than the two companies sharing officers. Updated it, thanks for the correction!

For a look inside the issue, here's a post by one of the writers, Dean Engelhardt, about writing a comprehensive overview of Cthulhu Mythos RPGs released in 2019!

What makes a good Cthulhu Mythos scenario?
All good scenarios from any roleplaying game have certain aspects in common, but Cthulhu Mythos scenarios definitely have certain elements that set them apart from other games. When comparing the many "classics" and "favorites" Cthulhu scenarios from over the years, most of them are very distinct from each other. These variable elements are often points on an axis (like the level of Cthulhu mythos in an adventure can range from a werewolf to Cthulhu himself, but neither extreme of the axis precludes a good Cthulhu scenario).
In addition, scenarios have the ultimate swing factor of the ability and style of the Keeper. A great Keeper can make gold from the worst scenario, while a great scenario can be too much for a beginning Keeper to pull off in the way they hoped.
The complaint most often leveled against scenarios is that a scenario "needs work", as in the Keeper will have to add or modify many elements to make it workable... but is this for the specifics of their group, or their own Keeper style, or just because the scenario is poorly written or organized?
Aside from these options that can vary in degree, there are certain major elements that ARE required in all Cthulhu Mythos scenarios.
Major Elements:
Mystery
Clues
Handouts
Horror
Suspense
Setting
Roleplay
Plausibility (to frame horror)
Clarity
Strong structure
Axis Choices:
Possibility of success
Level of Cthulhu Mythos reference
Maturity
Are there other Major Elements that you would list as necessary for a good Cthulhu Mythos adventure? In your favorite scenarios, what elements made them your favorite? (But try to avoid spoilers in your examples, please!) And what things that "needed work" in a scenario do you wish all scenarios included?

Correct, I mainly put it if there is a female Knight as the mother, but it makes sense to make it the most Glorious Parent.
And if you are using female Knights, I have no problem with women inheriting as well. That's probably how I'm going to play it.
Use whatever rules you want!
-
Right, I changed Son Number to Child Number.
Most of the changes I made were on the second page, so it's gender neutral across all the generations.
Wife to Spouse
Glory to Son to Glory to Children
Lineage Men to Lineage Members
Father's Name to Parent's Name
-
Ok I changed Lineage Men to Lineage Members.
Totally missed the regionless sheet at first, so this is the new Regionless version.
-
I finally got KAP and the Great Pendragon Campaign, and in GDP it said you can have a knight of any sex, but the character sheet in KAP is phrased for only a male knight (though amusingly, the Woman sheet refers to "Spouse" instead of "Husband", where the Knight sheet uses "Wife").
So I tweaked the format and made a gender neutral version. The only things I left on (since I haven't played it yet!) is the reference to Other Lineage Men (any suggestions for a neutral phrase for that?) under Army, and I wasn't sure if the Chivalry Bonus marks for Personality Traits should be left on there, since they vary so much from the Gentlewoman Bonus marks, but this should be a for a "Knight". Also, several skills didn't match between the Knight and Woman character sheets, so I didn't know if those should be added as well. Finally, I could add Household Treasures onto the Knight sheet if that would help.
Character sheet attached:

I reworked the 6 pregenerated characters from The Broken Tower adventure in the RuneQuest Quickstart.
Each character now has 2 extra pages that break out a lot of their stats into a more readable form with more info targeted at players new to RuneQuest.
- Rune spells
- Spirit magic spells
- Skills
- Runes
- Passions
Here's the link to Harmast. The other 5 are all in the Downloads folder above under Browse.
Let me know if you see any mistakes or have any suggestions!
-
Makes sense! Thanks.

That appears to be a typo; it should be Discorporate, and it's explained on p. 3 of Vishi Dun's character description, followed by more rules involving spirits and spirit combat.
That seems to describe the Spirit Magic version, but Vishi has it as a Rune spell (which is mentioned but not explained). Which Rune would Vishi roll to cast it as a Rune Spell? Moon? Death? Man?
-
cool thanks for the hints! I'm prepping to run the Broken Tower so I these are all questions about what's in the QS. Looking forward to the full book!
-
Vishi Dun has Disincorporation on his Rune Magic list... is that detailed anywhere?
-
Should Harmast have Lock as well as Passage on his Rune Magic list since Passage says "Must be cast with Lock"?
-
Should Vostor's Rune Spell of Summon Small Fire Elemental instead be to summon earth, fire or water elementals since he is in the Seven Mothers cult?
Best (short) introductory adventure?

A few friends have asked to try out Pendragon, but we'll only have a single session of about 3 hours or so.
Are there any adventures that would work well in this short time frame?
I'll probably just use the pregenerated knights from the new Quickstart adventure so that won't take up any time.
