  • RPG Biography
I've been playing RPGs since RQ2 was relatively young.
  • Current games
I mostly play Fate Accelerated now, since that's what my players are into. It's a strange home for a simulationist GM, but I'm really starting to like it.
  • Location
    Hoboken, NJ
  • Blurb
I'm forever working on my own game, based on 17th century London.

  1. Ohhhh, that's great news! Thanks for letting me know.
  2. Hey all, just wondering if there is any more news on the OGL/SRD front? Even if there's no ETA to share, it would be great to know if there is any progress? Is it still a thing?
  3. Just got it and am sneaking peaks of it right now at work. It looks fabulous!
  4. Thanks, guys, that totally makes sense. Those are still amazing resources, of course!
  5. I'm talking about the campaign as described in Sartar Kingdom of Heroes, where campaign was said to be continuing in Whitehall: The Last Rebel King? I'm assuming this went the way of Sartar Rising, but I would love to find out that I'm wrong... ~Sean
  6. Yeah, I've done that for just about everything that they have offered since they started. But that's for a complete book, with pretty much final everything. I'm talking about an early-access version, like g33k mentioned. I have no idea if that would be practical or even practicable, but I'd be will to pay a premium for it!
  7. Right, and I want to stress that I *love* this line. I wish there were an intermediate PDF or something; like: buy the book now and and get an early PDF so you can start playing right away, the way lots of kickstarters do. I'd pay full price up front for the print book TODAY to have access to something like that, because that's honestly the minimum it would take for me to be able to lure my main players back into the game. We here all know it's a new Chaosium now that takes deadlines and delivery very seriously, but a lot of them still have that old, "yeah, I'll believe it when I see it,"
  8. I *love* the new RQG, but my potential players are waiting til Cults comes out before they're willing to invest time and money diving back into Glorantha for the 2nd, 3rd, or fourth time. For *all* of them, Cults completes the basic set--none of them are *against* any of the other stuff, but they don't think that any of it is as crucial to gameplay as Cults is. I have to admit, as much as I'm excited for all the stuff that's coming out (this is the best iteration of Glorantha yet, IMHO), I don't disagree... I really wish it would get bumped to the front of the line!
  9. Not a derail at all...I'd love to hear about that myself. SB
  10. Thanks! I guess my question, more clearly put, is this. You have to license the BRP, but there's a freeart game that, in effect, is pretty close to brp. Would it be legit to write a game and use the gaming system that's at the base of the FA licensed game, and not go through chaosium at all? S. Buckler
  11. So I notices that Fire and Sword is released under the FreeArt license. Is that a license that Chaosium approves of? I've never heard of it before. I'm curious, because I'm currently working on a setting that I might write up for BRP, and I'm wondering what my options are, in terms of publishing. Thanks for anyone who can fill me on licensing and BRP. Sorry, it's a newbie-ish question, but I didn't find freeart in a search of the site. S. Buckler (Playing BRP since RQII)
  12. Before the end of 2010? D'oh! That's a long ways off. Well, good luck.
  13. Is there an ETA on this thing showing up in print or pdf? I'm really interested.
