    Nice! Thank you for posting.
  9. Thanks for the info. I'll probably get the PDF of AA for points mentioned. There were a few older COC supplements I was looking at down the road, but will wait till Im more comfortable with the game. Thanks. Mike
  10. Hello, I was going to pick up Pulp Cthulhu and was wondering if Astounding Adventures would also be a nice supplement to have too. I'm a COC newbie and picked up the 7th Edition rules. Thanks. Mike
  11. Thanks I'll take a look at Enlightened Magic. Mike
  12. Hello, I was wondering if I purchased Advanced Sorcery then would purchasing the Magic Book be redundant? Thanks. Mike
  13. Thanks Rod you answered it. I just wanted to be to run old school characters. I have a much stronger D&D and AD&D background, very light with RQ/BRP systems (minus a few session of Stormbringer in the past). I like using the old TSR modules, had a good time with Keep on the Border lands with CF. Thanks. Mike
  14. I just wanted to say that I am very pleased with CF and Rod's support has been great. The Yahoo group has spawned lots of content for CF and Rod was even took time to write me up some creature conversions for my Keep on the Borderlands night. Thanks Rod, I'm an avid old school role player and still play first edition and advanced D&D. I love dungeon crawls and old TSR modules. This product has allowed to reintroduce old school adventures to my kids and introduced me to BRP/RQ. Thanks again for your efforts Rod. Mike
  15. I'm getting ready to run a small adventure with my daughters and a couple of their friends. I was wondering if the characters from Classic Fantasy would be an option for them to choose from as a profession, along with the one detailed in RQ6? We will be running around The Known World "Mystarra", and eventually going through a few of my classic AD&D and D&D modules. I'm relatively new to RQ/BRP, I've played Stormbringer a few times in the past. I'm just wondering if it conflict with the mechanics of RQ or the CF characters would be a bit more advanced than the RQ characters? Thanks. Mike
  16. I was wondering if anyone has tried to run the AD&D Dragonlance sage with BRP/Legend/RQ2 etc. I was looking for some possibly conversion guidance. I thinking of running that for my daughters and some friends. Thanks. Mike
  17. Hello, say I was creating a Wizard character for a fantasy adventure. My initial points are 250 to spend. I have to spend those points in the following categories: Craft(any), Insight Knowledge (Occult), two other knowledge (any), Language, (other), Listen, Perform (Rituals), Persuade, Research? Second, for the personal skill points, I can spend them anywhere I choose? That is, my wizard would like to buy some weapons skills, and maybe pick locks or fine manipulation. Just checking to see if I'm on the right track. Thanks. Mike
  18. I have Elric and SB5 rule books, is the old Bronze Grimoire and Demon Magic supplements necessary? Did the sorcery of the later rule books go on to include some of that material? Thanks. Mike
  19. Would this be good for a Traveller sort of adventure? Thanks.
  20. Thanks for the information. That document is great thanks. Mike
  21. I was looking to get a compilation of classic RPG monsters. Which monster book would be a good choice Monster Coliseum or Basic Creatures. I was going to be running MRQII along with using the BRP gold book. Any thoughts about either book would be appreciated. Thanks. Mike
  22. I'm still a bit of a newbie to BRP. As far as skill research and finding a trainer, can a profession learn new skills through a trainer. For example, a thief learn how to use some sorcery or a wizard learn to use a long sword. I was thinking of adopting the rule from Stormbringer, if the character had over a 16 POW they could learn sorcery. Thanks. Mike
  23. Hi my name is Mike, been playing RPG's since the early 80's. Cut my teeth with AD&D 1st edition, mixed with some Basic Edition rules. Tried a little Strombringer 1st edition, 1st encounter with BRP. We moved on to MERP and Role Master, which we played into college. Played a little Warhammer Fantasy when it first came out, and tried it again when GW rereleased it. Picked up BRP and Classic Fantasy, I also have several of the Stormbringer books too. GOing to try and run some 1st Edition modules with my kids and a couple of friends. I'm going to start with B2 Keep On The Boarderlands and then see how things progress from there. Mike
