  1. As I said earlier, Sub, set phasers on ignore when it comes to esoterica (the grognards don't mean to steer you wrong, that is what they find fascinating and fair enough). No, confusion and loss of SAN lies in that direction. Simplicity when running RQ is your friend. Jeff is 100% correct to tell you to use the monomyth. It lacks the beauty and depth of the real thing but is a lot more wieldy. Cheers
  2. That's friggin' awesome! Combine that with the comments of g33k and it could be an interesting encounter!
  3. The temples suck, but the tunes, man, the tunes!
  4. I have no idea how I missed those, but it seems you were carrying on in a most PUNishing way without my assistance. Carry on!
  5. Collector Card Game? Everyone else: I am so sorry I started this, my bad or IassIst,mb, for short.
  6. Oh truly, set phasers on ignore for most of this stuff... Or be prepared for the lost SAN. I have never touched on any of the esoterica in 2 decades of gaming and I hope to never do so. YGMV! Cheers
  7. I have postulated this several times now. I am certain it exists.
  8. I was at the Rebellion of the Righteous Wind back in '11. Well, there was wind alright, but righteous? I would say more foul. Surprised ya could smell that above those horse barbarians (which smelt worse, the horse of the barbarian?). And they say they hate chaos! Ah you should have see the crucifixes all along the Pavis Road, now that was righteous. If this doesn't get their (if you will pardon the expression) goat, then that is one tolerant laid back Heortlander. Cheers
  9. Ooo, COG, the Mostali in me likes this!
  10. Barbarian illumination he says, hah! Got you fooled.... see Phil's comment.... yeah, I was having a hard time putting my thoughts into pixels last night, so I apologize for the Njalor Riddle I left you. Now, engage brain, limber up fingers and (oh shit, that got me tired, off for a nap... zzz...) ah, good to go... If you have a bonus that allows a skill of 0 percent to be raised by 10 percent say, and then you decide to go back a couple of pages to a bonus that says you can put 10 percent wherever you want... but it has to be in a skill that has be above a base of 0 percent, well if not egregious, or even munchkinerry, then certainly chicanery. Ergo, order of precedence might matter. Clearer? And Phil, as that great Canadian Barbarian Leonard Cohen was given to say (usually after a couple, whilst playing RQ classic) "of course there's a hole in his head... that's where the light comes in, and me and my little d20 put it there". Cheers
  11. Yeah, but how did he really feel?
  12. Don't know, it seemed a good ocd kinda thing to do.
  13. Be very careful of a fumble, you might end up with a drunk Australian rugby player...
  14. I have got to get new glasses, thanks for putting up with my error.
  15. Agree with all but hit locations, we wouldn't want to lose CoC from the family after all.
  16. I have no idea how you keep track of as much as you do... bear in mind this is my memory, it might not be Jeff... maybe MOB?
  17. I recall at one time thatJeff back-pedalled saying to do so would cause 3 books due to increasing numbers of deities being added, instead of the 2 book cap they had established.
  18. If one has an opportunity to increase all skills (even 0 percent skills) in say, a home rule situation, before getting a chance to increase all skills (but not 0 percent skills) in Rules as Written situation order of precedence would matter. There are a couple of places that could occur possibly causing egregious munchkinerry and chicanery to boot!
  19. Well lordabdul a quick look at the TLA (three letter acronym) that Deities of Glorantha creates might be a reason... Yeah, why? Enquiring minds want to know... Huh, why? Cheers
  20. Or Balazar for some stone-age goodness... Anyway we have camped for just about long enough, on the 2019 release thread. Nice to meet you, beware of g33k he will bore you senseless and never buy his round but it's not his fault. He's a shameless grognard. See you on the threads, and might I suggest a trip to Allastor's Skull Inn to start a thread about whatever or introduce yourself in the intro thread there. Cheers
  21. They look mighty tasty don't they? Where are you playing the classic? I am currently playing in the far northeast of Sartar in the Division Hills, Torkani Tribal lands in 1613 classic RQ using RQ G rules.
  22. I hear ya, there has been an awful lot of squeeing in my household of late. A little more would be great! Now that g33k has confused me, I don't know whether to welcome you or welcome you back.
