  1. Perfectly fine, I only play in the canonical areas anyway... well maybe Imther ๐Ÿ˜‰ just a thought, jajagappa... I think you misread my post... i said so, I really do not mind using JC... as I said, I have been involved with it since the beginning and there are some fantastic things there. In fact Imther is beside one of my fave Gloranthan places, Balazar, so I think it will be played in at some point. (oh, Harald, will make my move today... have been too sick to do so before.)
  2. having been a part of that since the JC started, I am very impressed by many of the items available. I want canonical before I die (I hope that does not occur) but it is good to see the hobbyist are spinning tales at such a healthy rate. yer welcome! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. This is such a great idea I have started a Topic with soltakss list at the top. Anyone else have JC supplements not listed can post them to the Jonstown Compendium List of Supplements.
  4. As often happens, Simon Phipps (soltakss as he is known hereabouts) has done us all a favour... He has a great list of the JC products that he has shared but it is buried in Cults of RuneQuest Marketing Strategy where it might be lost and forgotten. So rather that allow that to occur I think I will give it it's own thread. Now he says the list is not complete, and I suggest we assist where we can. I will add his list to this Forum and ask folk to contribute as they can... If you have any JC stuff that is not on his list post the details here and I will happily edit this post and add your posts data to this one. โ€” Bill I put together some for Jonstown Compendium supplements, but have not updated it for a while, however it merely lists the number of scenarios and not what they are called. 5. Thanks for putting this in, I had liked Chaosium, mostly because of the old crew (Hey, I am old), and to be reminded of how the Great Old Ones were part of joining fans and all putting in their own money to save not only the company but investor's and the content creators bank accounts as well is good to be reminded of. Oh, the games are pretty good too!
  6. Let me be the first to say I am very happy about that. I am buying a game put out by Messieurs Mients, Richard and O'Brien, based on a game by Perrin and Turney based on a world by Stafford not Barak Shathur. I am sure you are a superior game designer, better then these gents and once you have put out your better game I will be first in line to buy it, chucking my inferior RQ rules. I really dislike the wag the dog scenario many companies are now in where a fan upset is soon a fan setting policy. Sorry to step on toes but...
  7. Agreed, it is/was nice to see in the 80s that Chaosium was progressive... what is needed is a return to such headiness! Great call SunlessNick!
  8. And this means I am just on time to accept the Hunter S. Thompson Third Annual Award for Missing Editorial Deadlines with my last corrections having just been delivered. YAHOO!
  9. Should it disappear entirely I have a feeling we will all miss DnD (tm) because we would soon attract the fire and trolls it use to... I mean look at it now. If you ask me, with a bit of thought and the BRP rules... I think ya just might be able to.
  10. Oh, my, that is kind, Brian. Your stuff is so great! But, yeah, Austin has great ideas that are fun to read and edit! He is not as good a business man as he is a fanboy made good. That is, he puts a lot of fantastic material into a very expensive to produce package (financially and temporally) that I am sure he would like to buy for himself. Now this a guess, but it is based on working with him since the JC began. I bet the guess is too far off the mark.
  11. That is a large book Austin! And very good!
  12. They must, marketing always leads reality in the sense of time and seasons... Most summer fashion shows appear the season (or more) before.
  13. I am playing RQG rather than running it so I cannot say that I know if one has been statted... but I do know that MPs replace POW for many undead... I believe this is so with vampires.
  14. Hola ยฟQuรฉ pasa, mi nuevo amigo? Apologies for my horrible spanish... I hope I have not started an international incident by poor grammar.
  15. Have you considered they are trying to tell you something?
  16. Thanks @MOB and pansophy. I see there is no rush to get it, so... I will buy the new PDF and a hardcover, probably from a Bits and Mortar to spread around the news that not only is Chaosium back, it never went away and is doing just fine!
  17. Oh, there's a DnD flick... wake me when it is over....
  18. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. em phat sass mine This is very probably my fave piece of egregiousness here... the only way to make more munchkinerry that I can think of is holding blackmail evidence over his head while arguing the point about the spell's nature!
  20. He's friggin great! Hey Darius, you know you are ranting about an 8 year old post... hell, seneschal has not posted in over two years. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  21. Austin does not come to BRP often enough to find this untagged post, and this is one of his I did not edit.. but, I do know a fancy spell that might bring him here... @Crel oh and @Akhรดrahil, perhaps a simple mention of possible spoilers at the top of your post (if no spoilers, sorry) to keep the value of this fine product to others... cheers mate.
  22. Yep y'all, capitalism is under serious attack from dystopian godless commies, but not to worry, many here are ready to fend off these attacks, and take to their bunkers armed to the eyeballs... cupboards overflowing with tins of everything! And they are all experts on every form of combat from magic attack spells and javelins to thermonuclear handgrenades. We are safe here!
