  1. My subjective opinion is that I think the plot is about as shallow as a kiddie-pool. I hope I'm proved wrong...Now, the sooner your western is published, the sooner I can play it.
  2. MrJealousy, Submit it. If it doesn't make the cut; expand it, rework a few things and submit it as a monograph. Problem solved. I just hope it's better than the preview for Jonah Hex.
  3. That's interesting. I wonder why the hardcover version is updated while the pdf version isn't? You'd think it would be the other way around.
  4. Thanks for the responses. I wasn't aware that the monograph didn't have any illustrations, but that makes sense considering the page count. I'll check it out and this Malleus Monstrorum. Sounds like this book is the single bestiary go-to book for CoC. Hmm,...maybe I could integrate some of the Great Old Ones into my fantasy campaign. Time to read the sanity rules from BRP this weekend. Thanks again, Son_of_Smaug
  5. This monograph only comes in at 52 pages? This seems a little sparse. Doesn't Chaosium have something more like the Tome of Horrors? I need a bestiary and was wondering what else was available. Any info. would be helpful.
  6. Outside of Elizabeth City. But I plan on moving this summer.
  7. Hello to all. My name is Travis and I live in North Carolina. I've been gaming for quite a long time (since the early eighties). My background is mostly AD&D 1st & 2nd editions, Star Wars D6, and a little bit of Traveller. I've read my share of Lovecraft and always wondered what it would be like to run a CoC game. I've recently purchased BRP and Classic Fantasy and will learn the system and see if it's as intuitive as my friends have told me it is. I plan on running a sword & sorcery type campaign in the future. Chaosium, don't let me down. Later.
  8. I just woke up and saw your post. I assume your Mr. Leary, the author of the publication? Now that's hearing it from the horse's mouth...thanks for the fast response. My question arose from my curiosity in how you designed your racial statistics. I think of half-elves and half-orcs as being between the parents in stats. So, I compared what the BRP rulebook statistics had for elves and orcs to what you listed in Cl. Fantasy. I was surprised the elf lost an entire die in INT, and it went from there. Oh, and I'm sure there's a few half-elves out there loving that INT of 21!
  9. Hello to all, I'm new to the boards here and BRP in general. I have a question about something from Classic Fantasy. Looking over the different races, I noticed that the elf has a starting INT of 2D6+6, just like a human. The half-elf has a starting INT of 3D6+3. Is this correct? I assumed the half-elf's starting characteristics would fall between the elf's and human's, therefore being the same 2D6+6. Any thoughts would be welcome.
