  1. I was wondering if it was Avalon Hill or Games Workshop. Is there a difference between those two?
  2. Your homebrew rules sound intriguing. Would you care to share? I have Heroquest 2 and was thinking about running using it but came upon this thread. What is RQ3+? Was that the Game Designers Workshop edition? I was was wondering if it would be possible to bolt on HQ task resolution onto Runequest. I like the ease of HQ but still enjoy old-school gaming combat. 3. Thanks. That makes sense. It looks old editons of Rune Quest are adaptable to the newest (6th) edition. Good deal!
  4. Thanks for responding. So it's basically learning about that specific god. How to worship, sacrifice, stories and myths. I'm trying to think of what kind of skills they would learn during this time.
  5. I'm reading Thunder Rebels from Moon design publishing. I came across this. "When the Heortling Rites end, each New Adult names the deity that they think (or hope) has chosen them..." "The New Adults receive instruction on worship during the next year. At the end of the first year the groups meet again, and this time the elders assign a deity for each New Adult to learn about for a year..." Does this mean that a child picks a god and learns about that god for an entire year? Then at the end that year, the elders assign a god to that child/pre-adult which could be entirely different from the one that they choose? Or do they pick a differnt god for the new adult to learn about? It seems that these pre-adults get a year of training in something. What benifits or skills do these pre-adults get? Magic? Thanks, Michael
  6. Yeah. I've been double posting to see which form works best.
  7. I got a question about the differential roll and combat. If I attack with a 68% in broadsword and I roll a 57, this is a success. My opponent attempts to parry with their broadsword skill of 52% with his sword and rolls a 32, which is also a success. Both combatants succeeded. I succeeded with a higher number. Do I do damage? Or does he parry and negate my attack?

    Fire!

Thanks for the info. I had no idea. I feel better now that I don't have to try that experiment.
  9. I guess. I wonder where they get this information.

I could hold a torch to someone's clothing and it could take up to 15 seconds (3 turns) before it ignites? Is that realistic?
  11. The exposure rules state that exposure starts usually after CON hours. So if I had a 10 in CON I could sleep in below freezing weather for 9 hours with no effect. Just with suitable clothing. And if I make my roll, 9 more hours with no effect. Even if I fail, I only have 1 level of fatigue. This don't seem right. Am I missing something?

  13. Man! I was super excited for about 2 minutes until I saw the price. 62 dollars! That's a lot of money for a rpg. How many pages is it? I love pdf's but using them to create characters and look up rules on the spot is a pain in the neck. Maybe I'm just not up to date on the rpg scene but 62 dollars! Man! I'm bummed. My 2 cents, Michael
  14. Spring? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
  15. What are the differences between this setting and Gamma World?
