  1. Well I am not to familiar with Fantasy Grounds except the fact that it is basicly a virtual table top for RPG. Are you referring to the miniatures adapted maps in the adventure?
  2. The first draft of the converted adventure is finally finished. I have uploaded it to the Star Wars download section. http://basicroleplaying.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=389 It hasn't been playtested yet and I am sure I have missed a lot of stuff in the text to feel free to give me feedback and point out errors that needs to be fixed.
  3. 547 downloads

Here comes my BRP conversion of the first adventure of the Dawn of Defiance series that no longer are available from Wizards of the Coast. I have tried to keep the conversion as simple as possible so you can use it straight with only the Basic RolePlaying book and with as little tweaks as possible. For a guideline on what optional rules that will be used in the campaign download Star Wars Dawn of Defiance Primer. Weapons in the adventure are listed by their names in Basic RolePlaying and not changed as suggested in the Primer. The adventure have not been playtested yet with the BRP rules and I am sure I have missed some errors in the text so feedback are very welcome. Version 2 I removed the Total Hit Points and given the "Named" NPCs normal hit points instead. Version 3 Updated some stats according to the recomendations in Version 5 of the Star Wars Dawn of Defiance Primer Version 4 Some minor updates to bring it in line with Version 6 of the Star Wars Dawn of Defiance Primer
  4. Ok! Thanks for the interest. I will upload them to BRP Central as soon as I finish the first part and continue to upload the adventures as the work progresses. Atleast until someone comes and complain (in which case I will remove them and people will have to ask me for them). The encounters in the adventures haven't been playtested yet for balance so feedback on suggested changes will be welcome. Until then! May the Force be with you!
  5. I have been toying with the idea of a BRP Star Wars campaign and started to write a conversion of the Dawn of Defiance the 10 part campaign that was available from Wizards. Just got started but already halfway through the first adventure The Traitor's Gambit. Not sure if I dare to upload the adventure here when it's done. But then again it was free to download from the Wizards page when it was available so I can't imagine why not. But figured I should post it here if anyone is interested.
  6. I have decided to run the Terror at 6666 feet adventure from this book on a small local convention coming up. Was gonna make a write up of the finished characters for the adventures and noticed that one of the characters have a skill called Ritual Magic and Tarot. Tarot I just assume is similar to Astrology which would make it a new Science speciality in the BGB. But unsure on how to handle Ritual Magic. Anyone know if this comes from another supplement? If so where can I find it?
  7. Maybe Cowboys and Aliens are needed research for the Aces High Companion!
  8. Just wanted to ask if I have understood it correctly that Classic Fantasy I is getting a wide release? The reason I ask is because I was gonna order a print copy of Classic Fantasy I since I feel the pdf is a bit to big for my old printer to handle (at 196 pages). Noticed that Chaosium are at the moment out of Classic Fantasy prints and I was thinking it might be worth waiting for the wide release if/when it comes. Anyone have a clue how far away it is?
  9. I was browsing through RPG Now for stuff that I could possible use for my newly started AH campaign and stumbled upon From Mud to Silver which seem to be a perfect minicampaign to incorporate into AH. Either way I thought it was a good idea to tip others about it even if it's not for BRP. If anyone here have that module I would appreciate info if it's worth getting. Considering it's only $6 for it I will probably get it anyway. I will keep you informed on how good it is and how well it incorporates into AH.
  10. No it didn't bother me much at all. Just replaced the info with what I found. And yes we just kick started a AH game but I figured I should post it here if there ever was a chance to update the firearms list. Still think AH is a very excellent sourcebook.
  11. We finally got the game started and it seems like a success. Everyone had tons of fun! But I did notice some errors in the weapon lists and just wanted to point them out. Mostly because of some discrepencies between Aces High and the information I knew from GURPS High Tech. I am no weapon expert but a lot of this information was quite easy to find. I did notice it since a stolen shipment of Sharps Rifles had an important part in the adventure and it got me to study the weapon stats more closely. The big errors I have found so far. LeMat Pistol - Had a 9 shot cylinder and not a 6 shot cylinder. Not counting the "grapeshot" barrel. Sharps Rifle should have ammo 1 and not 8. Spencer Breech had an ammo capacity of 7 and not 9. The Volcanic Carbine had a capacity between 20-30 shots depending on the barrel lenght, not 15. I went for the 25 shot version in the book since it seemed to be the standard one.
  12. I sure hope so! Aces High are so far my favourite Monograph since I returned to BRP. I normally don't care much about the Wild West but it really got me going. We created characters last week and plan on running the first adventure this weekend. I takes place in Lawrence of Kansas Territory 1856 where the players are thrown into a slavery vs. anti-slavery conflict before I send them on towards more "weird" adventures.
  13. Ahh! So the move is basicly meters per SR. That makes sense since the BRP book actually lists that humans can move 3 meters per strike rank which is the same MOV humans have in Basic Creatures.
  14. Could anyone explain the difference in the move scores. The critters in Basic Creatures seem to have way different move scores than they should have according to the BRP book. I assume this is something that remains from the RQ days, but since I don't have any RQ books it is an issue for me. From what I can see the Move scores are about 1/5 to 1/2 of what it should be in BRP.
  15. Got it! Was exactly what I was looking for. Much appreciated! Also peaked my interest of BRP Rome so might pick it up.
  16. I am preparing a fantasy adventure for a new upcoming BRP campaign. For that I need some stats for Sphinxes. I remember them being out there from my youth but since I just recently returned to the BRP system I have trouble finding them. Hoping that anyone can point me in the right direction towards som usable stats.
  17. Well that is the movie MrJealousy had already posted a link to that I was referring to. But I do agree, sure looks like fun.
  18. Well just got the Golden BRP book (returning to my roots) and after a long talk with the players over what type of campaign to start with. We ended up with deciding on a Wild West campaign with suparnatural influences. I will run it as a regular Wild West campaign but throw in strange stuff now and then to keep the players on their toes. Just ordered the Aces High pdf to check it out and have only skimmed through it but so far seem to be exactly what I needed for my campaign. Also have Devil's Gulch on the way in the mail. I remembered a popular system less adventure I ran at a convention some time way back with GURPS named Cray Canyon Cold Snap. Also found a lot of official material and adventures on page dedicated to a swedish rpg called Western that could easily be used. Seems like the campaign can become a very long one with the amount of material I have found so far. I can't help to post another movie suggestion for you Cowboys and Aliens so now we have a wild west movie with ninjas and another one with aliens. Once I can afford it I will order a print of Aces High. As I live in Sweden the postage is a little steep for a single book and it have to wait when I have the funds to spare. But once I have read through the book more properly I will probably post a review of it too. So far it looks very promising.
