  1. My understanding, and how I use it is anytime we dont play out a combat, we use the battle skill. Quick and painless. Anything we actually play out, use the results of that
  2. Can we argue about how many pins we can stick n the head of an angel?
  3. Playing 1st d AD&D right now, no crits or fumbles.
  4. Jumping right on it , it would seem.....

Pretty sure it just absorbed any rune magic you had, it did nothing to anything else.
  6. I have a Greg sig on an Avalon Hill product. I think those things fall apart just sitting o the shelf.
  7. I never noticed the longer time in RQ3 either, even though I have played a lot of it. And I dont ever remember anybody running put of a spell. Combat has never made it to the end of 2 minutes much less 5.
  8. And Matrix is a very cool store. I didnt order through them as I didnt think they where going to carry it.
  9. where do you know that will carry RQG?
  10. Any even vague idea when we can see this masterpiece? Rabid minds want to know
  11. They dont like to disappoint, so we dont hear until something is about to be released. Considering how rabid some (like me) get I understand why
  12. I dont like grids or hexes, just use rulers.
  13. Simple and straight forward. Kyger litor initiate with good spirit combat casts soul attack at the best melee PC. This locks them into a spirit combat they probably cant win, or even survive very long. My party has one of these and they use it regularly. It was a first time rqer that came up with it for this party. He carefully read all of his spells ad relized this was probably going to be hard to stop
  14. Always use Minis. But I was a wargamer before RPGs where published so it makes sense. Painting is as much or little trouble as you make it. For example, I have over 4000 painted Napoleonic minis. Half a dozen for a party is not much of a stretch
  15. So far we have stuck to the one per season, and it is going just fine. We wanted to give it a try just to see how it works, and nobody is unhappy with it.So far most of the adventures have revolved around the steading they are in, so one per season has made sense. Soon, however, they are off to SPH, ad probably one whole season adventuring. We will see how that goes.
  16. I have only had to use it when the Stormbull or the trolls go berzerk, so pretty much every game. Yes it really hosed a couple of fights, but that is because I had not really considered what it would do. Now, not really a problem. If you are not smart enough to stay away from a berzerk great troll, well that is just evolution in action.
  17. Womble yu have at least convinced me. Anybody asks in my game the answer is no, it doesnt work that way.
  18. My question is always, does it make the game fun for the group, without me having to retool everything? If yes, then let it in. If no, then dont. Just get even with them later with something like(one of my favorite) a vampiric mosquito
  19. I got RQ as soon as the 1st copy got to Spokane. Always been my favorite game and setting. And yes I am a much different gamer these days. Much more sober if nothing else. Some of the things I was interested in exploring in a game are no longer that big a thing anymore. ad things I wasnt interested in are now more interesting. But it is still RQ and Glorantha
  20. Indeed I agree. Saying No once early on is much better than having to say it again and again. I much prefer to say yes as much as I can.
  21. Well, they are not going to face the Bat with BS3 twice for sure. Over the years I have used a number of cap schemes, and now I just dont worry about it. And that has not been a problem yet
  22. I am a bit more user friendly, I let it protect all of you. Of course, that goes for bad guys as well. Probably wrong, but it works for us.
