This is still a discussion item so I don't want to make an 'official' announcement as yet (and your feedback could influence it). Right now, that would be the way to bet.
I suppose as it's easier for HQ as there's no stats for NPC's. I hope it doesn't just get the 1625+ treatment as I don't want to play in that era.

So is @David Scott's Prax book now going to be an RQ book?
I'll be a geriatric before it comes out.

A bit odd as the last Pavis book was HQ.
So HQ will now take a backseat? Why not stick with what you have been doing?
Then we'll get a change of rules again lol.

I'd like a Prax book too, before more Sartar, though a Fonrit book sounds great.

Take a bow (now arrows), just to draw some visual lines. Can you easily line up a shot straight backwards? Seated vs standing in stirrups? Etc.
Then come back and report your experience, so everyone here can flame you. :-)
Yes. You don't even need to be on a horse to see if you can. Plant your feet wide and turn backwards whilst drawing an imaginary bow. I'm pretty limber as Im at the gym a lot, but I wouldn't want to hold that position for long. Plus you'd want to be going fast, not something to be doing whilst trotting.

You’re clearly the person to help here. We just need to get a horse bow to you.
As kids we used to ride and play knights. i even remember riding as a young adult and discussing shooting bows from horseback.
Im riding again this spring/summer so will pay special attention

I ride a fair bit and often turn around fully to talk to someone behind me when on a track and rest my hand on it's back. My horse never turns with me.

Just a note to say all your npcs are in my current game.
The pcs are at this moment knocking back magically chilled Pelorian gin whilst watching the floor show.

Interesting thread so far. But how extravagant and decadent can a 5,000 soul town in a semi-arid backwater be?
Cheers.

As much as you want it to be.

I probably play more CoC than games set in Glorantha.
I have no need to ask questions or discuss stuff about my world.

Yeah I've been waiting to buy the softcover but no button to buy as mentioned.

Don’t forget the Freelance Adventurer Registration Form:
Is that a form in the books?

I'd like to see how Orlanth is depicted in art by his enemies. A powerful demon to be feared or a weakling, to be scorned and trodden underfoot?

What weapons can you carry openly in Pavis?
In the original book it was just pole arms, bows and metal armour that were forbidden. But then it seems to be only weapon masters who can openly carry their weapon.

There are figs in my Adari hence Fig lane and it's famous pawnshop...

Waha is an Orlanthi deity?
-
Thanks!
So in New Pavis there is an Eirithan and Waha Temple. What is that going to look like? Nomads don't worship in temples and dislike buildings. I understand that locals go there to offer sacrifice and New Pavis is a city so therefore buildings. Is it like a tent or perhaps merely four stout walls open to the sky? Currently I have the corral filled with totems and holy herd beasts, painted and adorned with religious bits and bobs.
"Dorasar’s founding pact agreed to a temple to these deities as well, even if such temples are foreign to Praxian traditional ways."

As kids we rode bareback lots. Ponies, so not that hard to get on, but that's what rocks are for innit.
My biggest problem is folk riding with bare legs. The one time I wore shorts my legs were royally %€##ed for ages. Never again.
