Started with D&D. First played Runequest in 1979 and dropped D&D. Ran with RQ up to about 1984, then stopped playing RQGs.
Got back into it in 2016 when I stumbled across a book by Oliver Dickinson on Aegean Bronze Age and recalled his Griselda stories. Found to my amazement that Runequest was coming out in a new edition and have been following things ever since.

  1. Yes. Really like this mutual support.
  2. Quite wonderful painting, especially the bronze
  3. No, I mixed them up, it’s Fenris Miniatures which have the kickstarter with bison.
  4. Happy to help. You mentioned Rapier Miniatures, so I imagine you are aware of their current kickstarter that features bison and sables. There will be quite a wait for the actual miniatures though.
  5. Casting Room Miniatures have 4 28mm Bison Rider figures in their God of Battles and Tribes of Legend range. Newline Designs have a Bison Rider in their Flatland Barbarians range.
  6. Well, yes, I had noticed. My point was that the Spirit Book must surely be more than the two chapters in the core Runequest book reiterated, together with a list of spirits from the Prosopaedia and their associated Rune Spells from the Red Book of Magic, as we already have all that in those books. Shamanism and Spirit Cults is an area I would love to see developed, and I think needs development to work well at the table. As other threads are showing, people aren’t finding it easy to integrate shamans in to their games.
  7. Doesn't this make it very important that the Spirit book is published soon?
  8. New Rapier Kickstarter looks good. Just backed it.

    Oslira

The draft Gods of Glorantha included the following snippet: The source of the Oslir River is in Dragon Pass, held by the Grazeland Pony Breeders to be in the Green Dragon Vale and by the Tarshites to be near Wintertop.

    RQG XU ?

The draft version of Cults of Glorantha shows : Comfort Song, Couvadc, Dismiss Darkness Elemental (small only), Healing Trance, and Summon Darkness Elemental (small only).
  11. Totally agree. Mad Knight offers miniatures you just can’t get elsewhere. Andrew knows Glorantha. The Thunder Rebels are wonderful figures. More Newtlings than you can shake a stick at. And then the excellent Sable Riders you showed.
