  1. Copper Best Seller! Huge thanks to all who have bought it!
  2. Do a mindmap of the scenario. It really helps in getting to know where the problems there are. These are examples from Islands of the Lost.
  3. "After reading the prior volumes, I must admit I was intrigued by Hero Wars in the East Isles but not enthralled. Fires of Mingai has solid adventures, but subjectively they didn’t grab my imagination in the way of Chaosium’s “The Pairing Stones” or Gauthier & Dyer’s The White Upon the Hills. In contrast, Islands of the Lost provides a grand narrative which demands to be played. It’s a classic “save the princess” narrative like an old-fashioned adventure flick. There’s a great mix of compelling villains with true, remorseless monsters, strange environments—like the boiling-hot Bezarngay current or a giant crab’s lair—and desperate heroics. It could be played as a frightening deathtrap for newer adventurers, or a daring expedition for veterans. On my “armchair or kitchen table” spectrum, Islands of the Lost is 100% a kitchen table book. I love that." - Akhelas

    Andins

If Arandinni were in some ways similar to Trolls, then making their culture and habits be kinda similar, would also make sense. These are not Trolls in our Glorantha, but when thinking about their culture, Trolls could be some influence. But as said abowe, they are creatures of Hell, not of Darkness.

    Andins

Andin races described in Vol 4 will be Arandinni, Drajku and Rakshasa. Gorger and Huan To are also Andin races in our version of Glorantha. Eresteenes include such as Manannaggal, Lamia, Seifora and Hungry Ghosts. What I was wondering actually was planned for our Vol 5. Something more about their culture, origin and such. Vol 4 is almost ready, and I don't think we will do big changes to it... And there already was our Andins in Vol 3, so we need to stick to our version. I don't mean to say, our version is right and yours are not. YGWV.

    Andins

True. This is the way we have it. More about OUR versions of East Isles folks are in Vol 4, where there is a bestiary. Sample Andins and Eresteenes are there. There are also Edes, plus many more of course.

Big thanks for your answer, Metcalph. What you wrote is in many ways very differend to what we have in our East Isles books. But as they say YGWV. We have Trolls, Dwarves, Elves and Draconewts as they are, where they happen to be existing. But these are not our Andins.

    Andins

Hi, I would like to hear ideas you have for Andins. I know opinions vary greatly, but I have our own version in Hero Wars of the East Isles books. Still, would be fun to hear all the opinions, and I hope we are free to use any ideas presented in this topic. Otherwise that would basickly only block my options for these. So, Andins... What is their culture like? Or is there? What are Andin Islands like? Do they have family groups/tribes? Fun myths for their background? Are they creatures of the night, as trolls are? Anything. Big thanks for every idea! Arandinni from Islands of the Lost
  10. So happy for this kind kind review in DTRPG!! "This is really really good and builds on the other 2 books (which are also great too!). The series brings the Korolan Isles to life. Before this series I basically had zero interest in the East Isles. Just some far away dots on the other side of the lozenge. These books really bring the place to life with so much careful thought and detail….so much so that I can now taste the salt in the air and long to become a pirate aboard The Sea Parrot….lash myself to the rigging , laugh in the face of a tropical storm…,buckle me swash and set sail for adventure…ooh super art and maps too …love the style…top job! Can’t wait for Book 4!"
  11. The third book is out, and includes six new cults, ships, a new martial arts school, two new Korolan Islands (Tamoro and Luvata) and new adventures. 140 pages. Here is Anotora in Tamoro island and the cool cover of the book by Tania Rodriguez-Kaarto.
  12. Islands of the Lost is now out. Volume 3 in the Hero Wars in the East Isles series. It has 140 pages and includes ships, six new cults, a new martial arts school, two detailed new Korolan Islands and new full adventures. Go get yours. https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/460035/Islands-of-the-Lost-Hero-Wars-in-the-East-Isles--Vol-3
  13. Vol 1 is now Silver... Thanks for your support.
  14. Talking about originals. Here are some of them. The maps were later decided to do to be VTT ready.
  15. Good to hear feedback. Every picture that has been changed in the books is mine, originals and the updated versions. Tania's, Juha's and Wille's arts have not been touched. I was not happy with the varying styles my pictures had, so I made them to be more alike. Vol 3 is most definedly coming. Texts all ready, adventures playtested multiple times, proofread and all. Needs still bit work on layout and arts.
  16. Upgraded versions of Volumes 1 and 2 with added handouts are now out. * Some of the arts have been upgraded. * New handouts are added to both volumes. Volume 1 has a new area map of Korolan Islands and Sironomandidi. Volume 2 has new VTT maps from the adventures, including player facing versions. Korolan Games sheet for counting points is now added as a handout. * Edits on texts are done for both volumes from El Runeblogger's suggestions.
  17. Korolan Islands and Fires of Mingai are in Christmas on July sale, so go get yours if you have not already.
  18. There are now many books set in the East Isles, Teshnos and Kralorela available. I would like to know if anyone has their game set there? Or even plans to have the game set there at some point?
  19. El Runeblogger has made a review of Korolan Islands book. Take a look. https://elruneblog.blogspot.com/2023/01/review-of-korolan-islands-archipelago.html?m=1&fbclid=IwAR1e6gixqX-MtuwZVIVUxFBKhqdJtXd1-M-2n_bj_Aan4mayCSbzmizAvew
  20. I am making a map of areas covering the Korolan Islands in south and Janeta island up north. Actually it is ready, but there are a lot of unnamed islands. If someone wants to have an island named there after some adventures or ideas of your own, and want it to be included and named in the map, do suggest. I think that would be cool to be there.
  21. There will be some local ships and sailing in the forthcoming Vol 3 of the Hero Wars in the East Isles series. Scott Crowder has also some sea encounters and things in his Pirates of the East Isles book Vol 1.
  22. In our version, not every island has it´s own martial arts tradition, but many do. The bigger islands likely have more than one. In the forthcoming books there will be of course more traditions. Scott Crowder´s Pirates of the East Isles has got a bit different aproach on mysticism and martial arts, than we do. But you might get great ideas also from his book. His book has many cool things in there as well.
  23. In our version of the East Isles, Govmeranen will possibly be Yelm as the ruler, separate to Yelm as the Celestial Sun. And practically, Govmeranen is mostly approached by mystic methods. But there could be some parts of the Isles that still has Govmeranen as a ruling god, or patron of rulers? Govmeranen will possibly be in our East Isles books, when Hanfarador and Mokato get more attention. That will not happen in the first six books that are planned and in the works.
  24. 1D20 Occupation 01 Assistant Shaman 02-03 Crafter 04 Entertainer 05-06 Farmer 07-09 Fisher 10 Healer 11 Herder 12 Marine 13 Martial Artist 14 Merchant 15 Mystic Student 16 Pirate 17 Priest 18-19 Sailor 20 Temple Guardian The list of occupations to choose from in the Korolan Islands book, Vol 1, in Jonstown Compendium.
  25. Glad you liked them. The reasons for there being no Thief included. There are a couple of reasons. Thief did not suit well with the starting point setting, that is the Korolan Islands. It did not fit well with the adventures in the Volume 2 either. There was no fitting Parloth cult in Vol 1 for that. There will be Thief and other new occupations in the future volume set in the Haragala island, and Champaya City in there. Thief will by then have Parloths to choose from, and thief will likely fit the adventures set in big city better. Use the Thief occupation in the Corebook, and make the little changes it needs in the setting of East Isles.
