  1. Granted - but our in-play experience is often about where your lowest skills are, not your highest.
  2. My PoD copy arrived today - looks great! Only one small disappointment - it doesn't have '4' on the spine so doesn't look like it's part of a set with vols 1-3 on my shelf!
  3. Also really important to remember when people make comparisons that Mythras basic percentages are all the sum of two Characteristics, which gives an average basic of 21% and in reality, bearing in mind INT and SIZ being 2d6+6 and that straight rolling is rarely used, more like 25%. Perhaps more important than the average is the fact these give you a floor. BRP basics are often as low as 5%, so you may need a lot more skill points to reach equivalent levels of competence.
  4. Instant buy for me as soon as it's available on PoD...
  5. These books are wonderful, full of stuff you can use and have adventures with (and really don't need more Gloranthan theological sophistication). Can't wait to add the PoD hardback to the collection!
  6. None of the RQ magic is in there, I don't know whether the magic systems presented are drawn from old BRP. but they are not from former RQ editions like RQ3
  7. I'm experimenting with BRP combat using Action Points - in this case, because of genre emulation, 3 for heroes (including NPC heroes) and 2 for everyone else. If you want to use all those points for attacks (at full skill) you can, but then you can't use them for parry or dodge or non combat actions. Seems to work fine so far.
  8. I wrote this for Mythras but some may find the info and suggested guidelines on ancient-style agriculture useful. There's some discussion on use of Mythras version of Bless Crops and Cloud Call. KORANTINE RITES pt 4 beta Adventures in Farming.docx
  9. As I understand it, if there is a successful parry then the damage reduction should happen before applying remaining damage to target, whether that's the foe or the foe's weapon (the weapon then having its own AP and HP)
  10. Sorry if very dumb question, but do these books automatically become available in POD once they hit a sales threshold, or does that require a lot of work to make them print ready?
  11. Here's another reference point - the Great Martian War of 1913-1917
