    Young gods

I am preparing a scenario in which a Jajagappa priest is reenacting the murder of Yelm in order to summon the night hounds who dragged Yelm in Hell and I was wondering about the ceremonial vestments for Yelm, Orlanth and Ernalda. Should the runes be the usual ones or should they mirror the "life stage" of the each god at this precise moment of their "career"? For instance, does Orlanth already have the Mastery rune at this point in his career? Should I put the Life and Death runes for Yelm (as in RQ:G) even if this probably mirror his passage through death and resurrection, posterior to the murder episode itself ? Or should I go "back" for him to Stasis and Mastery? And more broadly? Should we see the gods as "mythically" evolving in this way? Which would have interesting consequences on the preparation of heroquests.
  2. I have two curiosities about Telmori How do you envision them when in wolf form? Are they four-legged wolves of the more 'humanoïd" werewolf type? I would go for the first but obviously it has an impact on combat strategies. My second point concerns the life expectancy difference between man and wolf. The wolf brother should die very early in the life of the brave. Maybe they got some 'life-force sharing" ceremony that allow the man and the wold to harmonize their life expectancy? Or are the shamans able to call back the spirit of the dead wolf and insure its reincarnation in a new pup, in which case there would be an interesting "life-cycle" for the Telmori brave with "off-time" when he grows and trains the new pup. So what is your opinion on that? Thanks for your help!
  3. Everything is funnier in Wales, except living there!! When my players had to save the Gwireddamddifadring from the infamous Ynddaiawn who had attacked Lonvaltesrhodd before barricading themselves in the Ogoftumpentfys they had no choice but to run to the Penglagofeyd to call the Gweddwongwynt! And then they asked to play D&D
  4. I "solved" the problem by switching every place names for Welsh-based ones... My players are on the brink of nervous breakdown... Nonetheless I nearly finished my description of the Lysang clan which covers a good part of the Arfritha vale (together with some information also on the Malani to flesh out the tribe the Lysang joined after Kallyr's rebellion). It is quite big, nearly 100.000 words, with three introductory scenarios. But the default time is 1615. I hope I will have time to translate it in august for the JC.
  5. The "hijacking" by the cult of Valind of the Lunar masterplan for "killing Orlanth" in order to provoke the Great Winter is at the heart of my in-house campaign.
  6. Have you read the pseudo historical novel Queen's Heir? Although presented as taking place in the lands of the Hittites, it is obviously Glorantha and it is the stroy of the heir of the Maboder devoted to Humakt. First volume is quite good, the second less so.
  7. How, but there is a Sky equivalent, but probably only for huge payments in bags, the Fir(e) bolg...
  8. Yes, it could be, sure, no problem with that.
  9. Maybe you could settle for a reference to blood "Lothgar du sang de Kangbran". Eventuellement en particule attachée: I used in another game -blatt, for exemple Lothgar Kangbranblatt", but "Kangbranblood" ou "Sang-Kangbran" also has a nice ring to it. Or use only "de" as the Italians did at the end of the 19th cent. "Lothgar de Kangbgran"
  10. Ah ok, yes,it is a good idea to let them discover the other spots. For the Creek, I was refering to the map in the Coming Storm (pics here, I hope it helps). In the Sartar Companion there are only numbers for the River.
  11. That is a great map! Thanks! But I think we should have Odd Tower (sometimes called Old Tower) on the largest one, no? A nice thing to add on the lower part of the map. There is also a Dragonnewt ruin or settlement between Odd Tower/ Old Top and Two Sisters. And the Creek seems small, it is already more than 150 m wide (ca. 500 feet) upstream at Dangerford if I recall correctly
  12. I finally had time to listen to the new episode! The idea to comment Biturian varosh's travel is a master strike!! So much to tell and sweet nostalgia! And a host of scenario idea! Especially liked the part on sugar!
  13. @Joerg With all due respect! 🍻
  14. The what? Ah... this is the ultimate well of knowledge... We know that Lhankor Mhy lost part of his knowledge, devoured by Jolsedar the Brain Flayer but until you reach the Joergekosiad you will not discover who ate Jolsedar the Brain Flayer... The Joergekosiad is where lies the secret of Hero Posting... When all your questions are answered and suddenly you don't understand your questions anymore!
  15. This is dangerous reading, but just the first step... at the very bottom of the Entekosiad lies the entrance to the Joergekosiad...
  16. It is in French as two of the three players do not speak English well enough. Even myself, although I use to live in England, I am not sure I could GM in English. All the players, even if very experienced with RPG, were complete beginners in Glorantha. They quickly diverted from the intended scenario and I had to improvise for 3-4 sessions. Luckily for me they were in the area covered by The Coming Storm and Ian's magnum opus proved a fantastic tool box to save my bacon!
  17. Good luck! I did the same thing recently, playing on line for the first time ever because of the compulsory confinement. It went very well as soon as everybody got hold of good quality audio hardware. This is something worth loosing a bit of time to settle at the beginning. Also, I found that GMing on line was slightly more tiring than "physically", so I went for shorter session, around 4h. keep us posted!
  18. There are ca. 15 pages in WF 15 and ca. 45 in ToRM 19. And the last has a pretty good scenario, the Necromancer's Gift. You also have one episode in the marsh in the Colymar campaign in S:KoH And useful things also in the Lismelder Campaign described in ToRM 18 and 20
  19. Maybe their more original vision was the form they gave the durulz
  20. This mal was also far from bad, from my point of view And Boldhome iis a long time favorite
  21. Thanks! there was also the journal of the publishing house, Tatoo, which offered nice illustrations and one fanzione, les Erudits de l'Ambigu published a very beautiful blacka and white map of the Culbrea tula.
  22. Incredible! Have you noticed that the model for the River of Craddle Japanese cover is Klaus Kinski in Aguirre, the wrath of God? Funny choice! (sorry I don't know how to embed images in the post)
  23. @Puckohue I would say yes to the second question. The second one is slightly trickier as the Sun Dome would probably be reticent to let auxiliaries deal with an internal problem, especially one involving a problem of purity. And access to the information in the Sun Dome temple library would also be difficult. But it can be done I think, the Sandheart setting is conceived to allow for a more open view of outsiders. Find an excuse for the absence of the militia (maybe there are involved in the first Sandheart scenario?), let the "Lunar" head of stead of the scenario write to Duke Raus for help as an old friend and move the information conserved in the SD temple to the Ernalda temple in the district capital? For a more difficult approach, duke Raus may have bought diseased barley from the SD and want to investigate, him or
