  1. That would be great! I will be at the meet and greet on Thursday night. I'll be kicking around Friday during the middle of the day (I have a non-con Zoom appointment around 2, so I am not signed up for anything) so will be milling about until I run my game that night. Going to go see Whisperer in the Darkness on Saturday night. I should be findable and would be happy to talk!
  2. And an update on our progress: https://escalationfanzine.blogspot.com/2023/02/progress-on-13th-age-glorantha-book.html It is coming. 13th Age Glorantha is not dead. If you want to play at Chaosium Con, I am just adding a second running of a scenario on Sunday afternoon (it is pending approval). My Friday night game is full. Cheers! We Are All Us!
  3. An update on our progress. https://escalationfanzine.blogspot.com/2023/02/progress-on-13th-age-glorantha-book.html I am hesitant to put a date on things and we are still working out details of publication but we are making a lot of progress and because of the layout and art (done by the same talented person (which is definitely not me!)), it is looking incredible! For sure, it will be available as a free downloaded PDF somewhere. You can see a lot of the art for the book being posted at our artist's DeviantArt page: https://www.deviantart.com/triciab79 The art is incredible! I am running a companion scenario (not in the book, but likely to be made available by me on the web (hopefully with some other supporting materials) at Chaosium Con. My first table is full, so I put a second running of the game up which is pending approval. https://tabletop.events/conventions/chaosium-con-2023/schedule/238 And if you have not seen it, we did an actual play(test) about a year ago which is up on YouTube:
  4. Thanks Brian! The journey continues, but it's a major milestone!
  5. I intend to review and rate, but I have not had enough time with the book to do a good job (sorry, too many things going on), but I would be happy if any of my first impressions strike you as helpful quotes. Feel free to use them. I meant them!
  6. The files don't seem to be updated. My spot check is to see if the stats on Nathem's shadowcat, Rurik have been corrected, and in the download files in my account and the download files that are free to download on the product page, Rurik still has bison stats. It is clear a lot of work has gone into obtaining and entering needed corrections and I am cheering for you to get across the finish line to delivering them. I am sure that all this correction work is distracting from getting the bonus pre-generated characters with non-human backgrounds out into the world, and I really want to see those, so I wish you success with putting the major corrected files out soon. Thanks for an outstanding product in my favorite imaginary world. Keep up the good work!
  7. Happy to give back just a small bit. You have created an amazing labor of love with this book!
  8. I love the book. I have only started to skim through, but I really look forward to settling in to read deeply. I did have one thing that jumped out, and that is a mention of the "Uthri" on page 130 as a possible member of the Eleven Beast Alliance, and there is no other information on them at all. Maybe there is none. But I thought it was strange as there is so much other information, sourcing and cross referencing that really provides depth and resources, such that the lone culture group name with no other information seemed odd (e.g. it is not apparent in the Hsunchen Mega-List). Thank you for this book. It looks amazing!
  9. Bit late in my comment here. Thanks so much for the kind words. There are lots of knowledgeable fellows around here, and as you see they are all very helpful and responsive! Glad you are diving in on your own exploration of Glorantha. It is wonderful, and I am sure you will find all sorts of great things to make Glorantha your own. While sadly Dorastor is a rarity and an expensive one at this time (the great offerings from Third Edition remain on deck as far as what happens next with them) the initial book with the description of Dorastor and the evil cults, Cults of Terror, will give you a lot. Sounds like you grabbed the Cult Compendium, or were thinking about it, and the whole of Cults of Terror is in there. The reprints of Cults of Prax and Cults of Terror a great as well, but there are a few more cults in the Compendium. Of course, all those will become overtaken by events once the Gods of Glorantha comes out hopefully in 2022. But the other materials in Cults of Terror will continue to be classics and very informative, even as the corpus of the cults gets updated. I should also plug J-M here. He is also very knowledgeable, but he just lets me talk a lot so it sounds like I know more! Wishing you great Gloranthan adventures!
  10. In a land far from Dragon Pass, Fronela, independent Lunar city states fight for survival against the threat of the Kingdom of War. The Lunar Empire has suddenly announced that a gift from the Emperor is being sent to their aid. One problem, the magical Moonboat carrying the gift never arrived. Now Lunar Heroes from the city state of Eastpoint are dispatched to find the crashed Moonboat and its prize before enemies seize it. They must find the Red Emperor's gift or die. A champion tier adventure for 13th Age Glorantha using materials from the forthcoming special issue of Esacalation! Red Moon and Warring Kingdoms.
  11. Thanks! Please leave feedback in the comments (on YouTube). We appreciate engaging with our audience!
  12. Thanks so much Skulldixon! It means a lot that people are enjoying the show and finding it useful and interesting. It definitely keeps J-M and I going, although, of course, the show is just a pretext for J-M and I to get together and spend an hour discussing Glorantha every month, because we like to do that anyway!
  13. Hi all. I'm the author of this effort, which is coming along. It will be published as a fan publication as a special supplement to the Escalation! fanzine for 13th Age. It will have original art that is frankly brilliant, and for which I can take no credit, and, if they don't give up on me because I am terribly slow, the editorial team of volunteers is going to definitely make a silk purse of my sow's ear of writing and game development. I am coincidentally the co-host also of Iconic Production's YouTube series, Exploring Glorantha, and the two projects both complement one another, and of course eat time away from one another (as does the whole bother of having to work for a living, etc.). I can't tell you when Red Moon and Warring Kingdoms will be coming out. We have made a lot of progress, but there are 400 pages of manuscript in a series of Google docs, so, it will be done when it is done. But I am hoping (and thus likely cursing myself) that we may see it this calendar year. Thanks for your interest. I hope we shall deliver something truly special, thanks to the great leadership from Tim at Escalation!, our artist, and the outstanding editorial team of volunteers. #WeAreAllUs
  14. And we are up to eight episodes now, zig zagging between exploring God Time and what it means for your game, and the original elemental pantheons and how they developed in the time before Time.
  15. We have managed to keep things going and are six episodes in. More are coming on a basically monthly basis! Here is the ever growing playlist:
  16. I did get a new microphone so hopefully if it was a tech issue that is resolved. It will premier for episode 5 in January!
  17. @jholen thank you very much! We appreciate your kind words! Any feedback or suggestions are welcome. Glorantha is a huge, and happily unending topic, so knowing what people want to see us discuss or offer suggestions about is enormously helpful. If you have friends and relations who might find it interesting, point them our way! And Episode 4 is up! Last Episode for 2020, but we're back in January 2021 for our first crack at discussing heroquesting! #WeAreAllUs
  18. Thanks very much StormKhan! I hope you enjoy the other segments. We drop the next episode this weekend, and then pick back up in January 2021. Feel free to leave any comments, observations or suggestions! We are just getting started, so hearing feedback is definitely helpful. And, if you do like the rest, please consider sharing! The more the merrier! #WeAreAllUS
  19. Hi Glorantha community! I and my friend J-M started a little video series about Glorantha, our favorite fantasy game world a few months ago and released through he and his friends little organization Iconic Production (https://iconicproduction.wordpress.com/). We just did our fourth episode (we record live on YouTube for Patreon patrons on a Saturday) and it will go live for public consumption this coming weekend. The episodes can be found on YouTube (playlist link added below). We hope to spread our love of Glorantha, which, if you are here reading this, you probably already have. We look to bring in new fans and provide thoughtful discussion for old time fans. If you have someone who is wondering what it is all about, I hope we can help. We discuss Glorantha in the context of all the official systems currently supported as well: RuneQuest, Questworlds and 13th Age Glorantha. We do this because we love Glorantha and Greg Stafford's vision, Chaosium for carrying on that vision with so many amazing authors, artists and contributors, and the wider Glorantha community which has kept Glorantha growing with Fanzines, Cons, Freeforms, homebrew rules, websites and now the Jonstown Compendium. This is our modest contribution, and if we can bring in a few more people to love the world like we do, then we think that is a job well done. Check it out and tell a friend! I try to be very responsive in the YouTube Comments section too, which has attracted a lot of awesome interaction (very much the exception to the rule of "never read the comments"). Keep gaming. #WeAreAllUs )
  20. I come to this discussion late, but I greatly appreciate it. I have some plans for Fronela that relate to some fan-work I am doing for 13th Age Glorantha and Lunar Arrolia. I think the one thing I have not seen mentioned here is the "fact" that Zorak Zoran and Shargash really seem to be photo negatives of each other (even as one bullies Yelmalio and the other Elmal) and with Vorthan, we seem to see a mix of Zorak Zoran underworld and Shargash/Tolat red planet attributes. I have plans for Vorthan (to be made up out of whole cloth) but this discussion has been enlightening and I very much look forward to the next great work from Martin Helsdon! Cheers!
  21. Like everyone, I would like to express my condolences to Greg's family and to his friends and coworkers over the years. I never had the chance to meet him in person, but it is clear that he left an overwhelmingly positive mark on all those who knew and loved him. We none of us are perfect, but it seems clear that Greg was kind, thoughtful, loving and decent. As a fan and someone who has been influenced by his work from childhood, I have to express my profound thanks to Greg, his family and friends for sharing so much. His thoughts, imagination, philosophy and wisdom have all come through his many works, projects and videos, and he has had a profound impact on my life and he will continue to do so. I will carry with me the lessons and loves of his enthusiasms which either matched mine or became mine, until it is my own time to move on to whatever is next. So thank you. Thank you for giving a space to share an appreciation, and thank you Greg for profoundly changing the world for the better and uniting people from around the world to have fun, tell stories and be deeply and mythologically creative. Good greetings in ill times, Friends! No person can risk the world alone. Join others you can share with, They need not be like you.
