When Arthur Blackwood is accused of murder, he desperately begs his cousin to help him prove his innocence before the trial, claiming there's something terrible in the cellar of the cabin near Whitehall, NY, where the death took place. Can his cousin and a pair of private investigators, plus some unexpected help, find the proof they need to exonerate him? But getting answers isn't easy, even after seeing the horrors locked in the nearby barn. Then more complications arise as Clayton Pierce's supposedly dead father arrives. Once Marshal Pierce is reunited with Professor Stalloid and Jack West, they head for Dodge City in search of John Valentine or Daisy Sparks. They learn both are heading for the Dakota Territory and, when they arrive at a certain settlement, are certain it is connected with the Crescent. But the people are acting mighty strange ...   16. My Down Darker Trails campaign (The Catastrophe Engine) is heading towards its conclusion. Due to complications with schedules, it's broken into two separate campaigns in the last month, but I hope to finish The Catastrophe Engine sometime early next year after roughly two years and about 30 game sessions (probably). I have one more scenario in the Catastrophe Engine Campaign to get done (the big conclusion). We'll see how it turns out.

  20. On June 7, 1917, the British Army pushed into Messines to take it from the Germans. A group of eight men in a British Mark IV tank of the Heavy Branch Machine Gun Corps took part in that battle, but saw and dealt with something terrible they had never expected to see: The Colossus of Messines. On March 30, 2019, I ran a one-shot Call of Cthulhu scenario for NerdCon 2019 at Appalachian State University. "The Colossus of Messines" saw the six players running soldiers who were the crew of a Mark IV tank during the Battle of Messines.
