  1. My guess would be to start with a polite note to the good folks who own the copyrights. The folks in charge at Chaosium are the ones who were always open to and happy to work with fans and freelancers 30+ years ago.
  2. As REH was definitely one of the prime co-creators of the Cthulhu Mythos (as we now call it) he and HPL seemed to freely give and take from each other's concepts and, rarely, styles. I have no doubt that REH set his stories in what he considered the ancient history of HPL's version of Earth. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing for Howard himself has been part of the debate(s) about REH's stability since his suicide. Of course, there have been many, many rumors about Lovecraft's sanity too.... (heh heh heh!)
  3. Don't know about Pete, but I'd use Call of Cthulhu's magic system for a Conan campaign. A friend (with a little encouragement from me) ran a Hyborian campaign doing just that -- and added the lands of Oz, since we all know that Glinda's book was really the Necromnicon and the Woggle Bug was DEFINITELY a Cthulhuian critter!
  4. What would I like to see? This may not be "right" for 3rd party publishers - then again, Judges' Guild did an awfully good job with their Gateway products. (I put 'em all in my RQ2 Glorantha campaign anyway.) What I want - always - is for more data and information on Glorantha that's RQ-specific. HeroQuest is nice and all that, but the RQ rules and the 3rd+ age(s) are where MY Glorantha is. There's a lot of that world which Greg hasn't gotten to yet, and I'm hoping he'll let other parties look into them - and into the history which hasn't yet been written.
